Melania Trump used newfound leverage to redo prenup after election win, new book says

First lady Melania Trump favorably renegotiated her prenuptial agreement after husband Donald Trump won the White House, according to a new book by Washington Post reporter Mary Jordan.

Mrs. Trump stayed in New York for months after the president's inauguration, saying publicly it was because she didn’t want to interrupt son Barron’s school year. Privately, Jordan writes in "The Art of Her Deal: The Untold Story of Melania Trump," she was using the time to cool off and leverage her absence in negotiations — as the president's allies wanted her in Washington to be a calming force for the president.

According to a Post report on the book, Mrs. Trump learned new details about her husband during the scandal-riddled campaign, which was marked by reports of his alleged infidelities and a hot mic tape that captured him describing groping women's genitals and kissing them without consent. Trump has denied the affairs.

Mrs. Trump then used her marriage, the president's longest relationship, and her newfound standing as first lady to rework her initial prenuptial agreement, which the book reports had not been particularly generous.

I'm not sure what to think of Melania here. How could she not know of Trump's philandering? But, I give her credit for sticking it to Trump with a renegotiated prenup. If Trump loses, I wonder if she stays with him.

She is full of **** if she's claiming she didn't know her fake Christian husband loved to break the "thou shall not commit adultery" commandment. Trump cheated on his previous wives and publicly boasted about it. And don't tell me he wasn't grabbing her ***** as she was flashing it around for everyone in the world to see.

She's as vile as he is. I hope it was worth the money and the fake tits he paid for and the citizenship her communist parents got.
 
I remember for nearly the first half of 2017 when it was thought that Melania was a poor woman trapped in an emotionally abusive marriage with an awful man.

One things for certain, when she married this idiot for his $$$ years ago, the last thing she ever thought (or wanted) was to be First Lady of the United States. I think she was probably more unhappy about Trump winning than anyone else, even including the Democrats.

In a statement, the first lady's chief of staff, Stephanie Grisham, said: "Yet another book about Mrs. Trump with false information and sources. This book belongs in the fiction genre."

NBC News has not independently confirmed the reporting in the book, which is set to be released Tuesday.

I think she wanted a life of luxury and didn't care anything about how she got it. I don't think they have a marriage of love and respect. He wanted a trophy, she wanted money. Simple legal business deal. Then he messed it up. He made his whole life public and made her look like the high paid hooker she is. She lost face. But being a decent businesswoman she used what leverage she had to renegotiate. I just wonder if she brushed up on Art of the Deal before agreeing to go to Washington. I also believe she has had as many affairs as he has had.

I can't remember a more silent and ineffective first-lady. She's as much a failure as her husband. It will be nice to get an intellectual first-lady for a change.

It is so sad this administration has been in for a thousand real life years. I really can't remember that last first lady I dis liked. They had a tendency to just take on social issues like schools etc. They tended to be a role model for girls to get out and act on both sides of the aisle. I know this can be argued, but that is how I saw them. With Melania I think we have one who is a role model to gold diggers. She is so ineffectual because of her husband. How can she make a statement on bulling when Trump tweets exemplify it. For the first time I think we have a first lady who is not a good role model for girls and young women.

Well, since we're on the topic.

I was in a first grade classroom when Kennedy was shot. They sent us home. Something I'll always remember. My understanding of "president" came along with Johnson somewhere, but my opinion of Ladybird was "that's not a real name." Lol. Ladybird Johnson was a fine first-lady. Jackie Kennedy became Jaqueline Onassis, and gold-digger or not, she had class. Trish Nixon, Betty Ford, Rosalind Carter, Laura and Barbara Bush, and Michelle Obama. All perfectly fine American first-ladies. Perfectly American.

I'm a liberal. I think she is a high priced hooker. I do not think all women are saints. If that is misogyny so be it. I would not want my daughter to be a stripper and I would not want my son to beat his wife. If you think that is misogyny so be it.
