This is more conservative small government and freedom in action, protesting will not be tolerated if the leader does not allow it.

Conservatives want a government that is so small, you have all the power concentrated into one strong man leader, you can call it the leadership principle, that sounds great.

According to one senior administration official, the plan had been made to extend the perimeter of the park — which is across the street from the White House — by one block. Both peaceful and violent protests have taken place at Lafayette Square in recent days.

The order was executed Monday afternoon just minutes before the president gave a public address on the nationwide unrest following the death of George Floyd. The act — which came shortly before a city curfew went into effect — has ignited outrage from critics who claim protesters were moved so the president could participate in a photo opportunity.

But a senior Justice Department official told Fox News the decision was made early Monday morning after the Treasury Department and St. John’s Church — which are both in the area — were vandalized the night before.

On Monday afternoon, according to an official, Barr went to survey the scene. But after arriving, the source said, he was upset to find out the perimeter had not been widened like it was supposed to be earlier in the day. Barr, who was surrounded by his security detail, toured the police line keeping the protestors at bay while demonstrators shouted at him. The night before, fires were started and buildings were vandalized in the area.

Someone threw a bottle at Barr when he was there, the official said. He gave the order to move people out before the president arrived. Shortly after, police mounted on horses used smoke to move protesters demonstrating against police brutality.

Well, which story is true? You've got two, and only one can be correct. The story for most of yesterday was the park police stormed in to clear the area 30 minutes before curfew because consigliere Barr ordered it done. Then that changed, and it wasn't Barr's order, but violent protesters forced the police to clear them out? You have embraced both talking points.

Bottom line is why don't you Trump supporters just admit what we all know. Trump wanted his show of force, he wanted his photo op holding that bible someone handed him, and he got it. There's nothing wrong with cheering what he did. Of course, using pepper spray and rubber bullets to disperse non-violent protesters in the U.S. isn't normally the message we send the world, but this is the Trump era, and he's the authoritarian daddy the right wing longs for.

So why not just do that instead of make up lies about what happened that we all saw happen on TV?

Check out the actual photo shoot. It's silent except for the sirens in the background, nobody is talking, Trump is randomly waving the bible around. Reporters finally ask some questions, after a couple Trump walks away, then comes back. It is absolutely surreal.

The first part is clearing the protesters, the photo shoot starts at 2:00.




Biden could make a killer attack ad with this. Just this footage, no words, no text, just Trump waving around a bible for a photo shoot, the sirens wailing in the background. He's Nero fiddling as Rome burns.

The best part for me is he's not carrying the bible on his walk to the church. So Trump couldn't even be bothered with carrying his prop on the few minute walk to his photo op. Some flunky had to do it. If that doesn't tell us what we need to know about how sincere he is about the bible and what it means to him, nothing will.
