You missed that holy books often make very bad law codes. History teaches us that, be it Torah, New Tesetements, Qur'an, Talmud, etc. Law is needed in the mundane world and should not flow from the mystical or divine spheres. Human's are imperfect creatures incapable of following celestial mandates and obligations.

Coupled with vengeful gods or God, religious law is generally a recipe for disaster in the material world. Reason, not faith should be the basis of a state's law. Dividing people into camps of good or bad based on one religion's teachings will end in a disaster in multi-faith societies. Just ask the Amalekites who the Hebrew Prophets tried to exterminate or the Arians and Bogomils who the Christan Church tried to liquidate or the kafirs and apostates who Islamic zealots slaughtered.

Never heard of them, with 50-60 secret service officers injured, of course the protestors should be dispersed, even if they were around the block the next day! And I highly doubt they were peaceful, more like waiting for a chance to try more cowardly attacks. Your nonsensicle posts show a quite alarming leftist agenda and a lack of thinking things through clearly especially when it comes to protecting POTUS. I wonder if the roles were reversed and a leftist communist leader was in charge what would have happened, nah we know they would have blown to bits just like in leftist and communist countries!
 
What is happening is more like a Spartacus uprising.

Lay it out. Start with the current figures for "unarmed black citizens" being killed by police and demonstrate how your plan will reduce that number.

Show the costs and the benefits over time and all other relevant considerations.

What should those "liberal mayors" do?

What a tragedy that a once respected and trusted nation held in high regard and affection has been reduced to this, in four short years. During the 1967 Chicago riots, LBJ deployed 2k American troops to secure the city. A bloodied Tom Hayden and Abbie Hoffman sent LBJ a telegram of thanks.

It is not unprecedented for US President to order troops to quiet riots. The first president to do so was George Washington who ordered American troops to enter the 5 Points district of Manhattan, after a naval bombardment, to quiet rioting gangs. An action that was repeated under Andy Jackson, and again by James Buchanan. All three riots were perpetrated by anti-papist gangs angered by the arrival of waves of Catholic immigrants from Ireland and Italy.

There are multiple precedences. And when police with National Guard units are the rioters, who else should be called in? The City of Boston was the target of anti Irish Massachusetts National Guards units rioting to demand the end of Irish immigration into the city during 1839 and 1846. The Boston Metropolitan Police Force, established in 1838 was among the rioters. US Army troops put down both riots, accompanied by naval bombardments of sections of the city.

About 2 hours ago, Trump deployed troops from Fort Bragg to quiet the riots in Washington DC. Since DC has special status, local authorities cannot object.

Otherwise Trump has not acted, only suggesting he can order US troops to stop the rioting if governors and other local authorities fail to act.

The NYC Chamber of Commerce, a long time bastion of Democrats, called on Andy Cuomo this morning, demanding the National Guard be called into the city with a shoot on sight order for looters???? Unconfirmed, but hitting the early morning stock market rumor mills. How dare they steal a whole cheesecake? All those lipids and sugar up in smoke!

Sending in the military doesn't always work out the way you think it does.

It could inflame the situation further, police have already been caught doing heavily illegal things against peaceful protestors and members of the Media, running people over, blinding them, etc.

But hey, it's your country, I'll sit back and enjoy the fireworks.

In 1949 Dr. Ralph Bunch, first president of the UN, was refused entry into his new home in Kew Gardens, Queens, then a restricted neighborhood. Harry Truman ordered a Marine escort to usher Dr. Bunch and his family into their new home. My father proudly led that detachment of Marines. He didn't wash his hand for a month after shaking hands with Dr. Bunch. My mother gave him a bar of GI soap and orders to wash, or he would be sleeping somewhere else. Today, I live in Kew Gardens Queens, a very integrated and diverse neighborhood.

BTW, Dr. Bunch's modest little home, which goes down six floors below ground, but looks like a little 2 story cottage from street level, sold 4 years ago for $6.2 mil. An olympic size swimming pool on one floor, plus sauna, steamroom, and gym. A safe room for 20 on the bottom floor that can withstand a nuclear hit.
