Trump unloads on governors over protest response, calls them '''weak''' | Fox News

President Trump unloaded on governors in a phone call Monday over how they've responded to protests and riots across the country following the death of George Floyd, calling them “weak” and urging them to "dominate."

“Most of you are weak,” Trump said. “You have to arrest people.”
“You have to dominate, if you don't dominate you're wasting your time,” he said, according to a senior staffer in a governor’s office who was listening to the call. “They're going to run over you, you're going to look like a bunch of jerks. You have to dominate.”

I know this is going to generate a lot of responses, but the reality is Trump is absolutely correct, riots and riot control is state and local responsibilities. The reaction of radicals in this country are on full display and there is no justification at all for the damage and protests of the Death of an African American. My bet is that most of the radicals don't have a clue who Floyd was.

Did he make this pronouncement from the White House bunker?

Trump called the military leadership weak, now he's calling the governors weak. The reason he does this is because he's weak.

Who do you blame for the riot reaction? Where is Trump's responsibility in state and local riots? Is Trump responsible for the Floyd murder?

Once again missing all semblance of nuance. Remind me again, is he talking about the looters or protestors?

There is no talking to looters and protestors there is only action and the state and local governments aren't keeping their citizens safe

President Trump did not flee. The Secret Service moved him. That is there job. The Democrats/anarchists were using explosives (possibly car bombs) outside of the executive mansion.

I see, so arrest all the protestors?

Yes, the violent ones, you bet and throw away the key until they pay back the businesses they destroyed and the people they hurt

Anyone here that can justify what is happening around the country is part of the problem certainly not part of the solution

There is going to come a time when you have to consider and discuss actual issues instead of the 24/7 anti Trump attacks and politics of personal destruction. You think the alternative to Trump is Biden? You think Trump is responsible for the death of Floyd and the riots in American cities?

Vietnam all over again. Probably let loose some "bone spurs" in his underpanties.

Trump is calling on the 1960's approach... "round them up, beat the hell out of them, throw them in jail."

C’mon, you can’t seriously call this a protest. It’s never even been about the guy (I already forgot his name). It’s about trying to weaken the presidents re-election chances in November through destabilization. It’s not going work.

If i were a governor, I'd hang up on the dunce after telling him to unload his pants.

Protesting is absolutely justified.

Rioting and looting are absolutely not justified. But increasing police activity during a protest of police brutality could be throwing gas on the fire. Sometimes the wisest course is a moderated response. The most important thing is to keep people safe. Saving businesses is important, but a secondary objective when lives are at stake.

There is plenty of "justification" for protesting police causing the death of someone in their custody.

Silly post.... But I don't need to say that. Just more emotional posting with Trump hate.
This is why Trump will easily win reelection in November! :peace

Why? charges have been brought against the four officers, what justification is there for protesting?
