I would personally like to see the evidence that these agitators are members of "far left extremist groups" and not just some organized mob group or even gang related. I do not agree with extremists in any case, but it seems like members of political parties make a lot of assumptions about their opponents' behavior.

Anarchists believe in no government, right? That should put them on the extreme right, opposite communists who believe the government should run everything. Anarchy is extreme small-government taken a step further.

That makes sense to a degree. I find it more likely the agitators in these looting, vandalism, etc. actions are not doing so for political reasons. I doubt they even care about the politics or the protests. They are likely just taking advantage of a large group of people offering a smokescreen for them to do as they please.
