You believe his wife is lying about why she wants a divorce in order to effectively steal money through her deception. I don't care if you find that morally repugnant, it is. And it's what you assign her.

In the end, he's a victim of her lies and greed. Besmirched without legitimate and legal reason.

I see. In your fantasy land, this guy has it all together and she's working for their best interest in order to save him from financial injustice. Because he's a stand up guy and she knows he's innocent. So he convinced her to lie and steal for him and she's doing it.

What causes that fantasy?

What reason did she give for her divorce filing? I've not seen her lie yet. They're agreeing to divorce to protect assets from a lawsuit. Pretty obvious by the speed at which the divorce was filed.

Again, if he drags this out and contests the divorce and she has to fight to keep the kids, then it's a completely different story. No evidence of that at this time.

No... it's to keep some of their life savings for her kids, which would otherwise go to lawyer fees and payouts for lawsuits. They're doing the best thing for her and her kids, who will not be going to jail and would otherwise be financially ruined from the husband's actions.

You think it's okay for murderers to steal from their victims by hiding assets? Why do the children of white murderers get the money instead of the children of black victims? How do you render that moral or ethical?

where do you get the information that they are agreeing to divorce? She filed...I haven't read anywhere where it says he agreed to the divorce...and the only assets that would be protected would be half of whatever is left once the divorce finalizes....not before. She didn't kill this man...

You're advocating the removal of justice for black victims through the criminal acts of white murderers. You believe a white murderer should be able to lie in order to hide assets and prevent black victims from seeking justice.

You're against justice for black people and pro criminal white action to prevent that justice.

You'd have white people lie, cheat and steal to prevent justice for black victims. And you want to tell us that's the right thing to do.

Since they were older when married, and she at least had a previous marriage, it's probably a bit more complex. But separating the assets at least takes her out of the mix, and lets her move on without worrying about her assets. Once the court divides the assets, only his half would be at risk.

I don't know what she would testify to, since she's wasn't there. But his conversations during the marriage would still be protected.

Absolutely. Half the assets would be protected. Better, for the kids, than for all of them to be taken in the ensuing legal battles.

The divorce was filed quickly. If it is resolved quickly, that would point that they agreed to it. If he fights it for months or years, them it points to him being a controlling scumbag. Time will tell, but right now the evidence doesn't favor that the day her husband was arrested she finally had the freedom to take the time to find a good lawyer she trusts to file for a divorce she has wanted for years but just couldn't find the strength to leave until the minute her husband went to jail, even though he might be out any day on bond.

I mean, it may be true, but it seems unlikely. I hope he was a good husband and a good father to her kids. Maybe he wasn't.

She's not lying. She wants a divorce to protect herself and her kids from the ramifications of her husband's actions. Don't blame her for what he did. If you think she should not get any assets in the divorce, or that her assets should go to his victims because of some stupid marriage vow, then you can argue that. But don't call her a liar for protecting her kids. That's low.
