Fox News Star Geraldo Rivera Unloads on Trump: ‘What Is This, 6th Grade?!’

When even Fox is starting to turn on a daily basis, you know things must be getting bad.

"
“But the other thing is, the president, in these tweets, ‘when the looting starts, the shooting starts,’ c’mon!” Rivera said, referring to the tweet that Twitter hid from Trump’s timeline because it broke its rules on “glorifying violence.”

“What is this, 6th grade?” he asked. “You don’t put gasoline on the fire. That’s not calming anybody. Who are you daring?” Rivera mocked the idea that any demonstrators would stop what they’re doing because Donald Trump tweeted that they might get shot. “That’s not going to happen!” he exclaimed. “All he does is diminish himself.”

In this case Geraldo is correct.

You don't pour gasoline on a fire.

Trump does diminish himself with this kind of response.

All he does is diminish the office and, every time he does, it lifts the cult up a little bit.

Geraldo isn't wrong.

Can he diminish himself any more than he already has?

Can he diminish himself any more than he already has?

Whenever he makes a new low we think he’s hit bottom. Now I realize he has no bottom — morally, intellectually or empathetically.

Sorry that doesn't fly. Yea, Trump isn't helping things, but neither are the "protestors" I put that in quotes because half them can't even articulate what they are doing or what they are doing it. It's ****ing embarrassing.

What happened to Floyd was barbaric and injust, I don't think there's anyone that agrees with what happened, HOW it happened, or WHY it happened. But how the **** are we supposed to "change the culture" when you have ****ing morons using this as an excuse to loot, burn, defile, everything in distance, it's like everyone is throwing a ****ing tantrum at once. The "leaders" of this movement need to be locked up just as the cop did, they aren't any ****ing better.

People in "power" people of influence should be shouting to the ****ing moon and back to knock this **** off and have an actual discussion, no one is going to take you seriously when you can't even articulate why. Some moron just got arrested in Atlanta at the CNN building....and his reason for being there and throwing rocks at police, is cuz "police have to change" well ****, you're alive, they changed, now grow the **** up. Of course police have to change, the 5% of them that are bad........

Oh man, sad days when Fox News comes after the President. Maybe a new EO is in order.

Yep, Trump was way out of bounds with that moronic Tweet - which was obviously an empty threat. The reality in Minneapolis is that when the going gets tough the police will turn tail and run (with full pay and benefits, of course). IMHO, only an idiot would continue to live and pay taxes in a city with a police department which allows looting and rioting to go unchecked. When the police will not even defend their own HQ building then you know they are not about to take any risks to "protect and serve" the general public.

it's third grade, like his vocabulary.

I figured the fact that they arent serving and protecting became obvious when a cop killed someone while his buddies watched.

That was supposedly a single "rogue cop" (the only one charged, so far) and his (3 untrained?) fellow officers who will assert that they had no idea they were witnessing a crime in progress. What I am talking about is the entire police department probably under orders from above to "stand down" rather than to "protect and serve".

Rivera finally finds his brain after a fifty year absence.
Geraldo, when you first started as an investigative reporter in the Sixties, I wanted to be just like you.
Your reports on the abuses at Stonybrook Mental Health Center changed the mental health industry around the world.

Then suddenly you wound up in Al Capone's vault, and I guess the fumes fried your brain and you wound up as an idiot at Fox.
So now you finally woke up?

In this case Geraldo is correct.

Trump does diminish himself with this kind of response.

The scary part is, even if he doesn't realize it, he IS speaking TO a lot of lone wolf nutters.
It's called "stochastic terrorism" and it's a well known issue.

Even if the President isn't aware of the effect his words have, surely his advisers do.
Apparently they have no effect on him, which means he is beyond the control of anyone at all.

Agreed, would not matter what Trump said or tweeted. Ah what happened to the leftist cult calls for stay at home, mask up forever? All out in full on riot and looting mode! And America wants this bunch of scum in office lmfao, give it 25 years tops and the US will be a 3rd world hold.

our President, the leader of the free world with his finger on our nuclear codes, isn't as mature as a 6th grader.

I spent many years living IN South Minneapolis...in fact I lived ON the exact BLOCK where George Floyd was arrested and killed.
The people who are protesting aren't the same people who are burning.
A lot of the people I lived with back then are still there today and I see them posting on social media.
Yes, of course there are some idiots in our neighborhood, like any neighborhood, but a lot of the people doing the damage AREN'T from South Minneapolis.

Example: The Hexagon Bar was a beloved local watering hole there since the 1930's.
The owners are mixed race, they are wonderful people.

Hexagon Bar.jpg

Last night when they burned down The Hex, the owners had been on their very own page decrying the brutal murder of George Floyd RIGHT BEFORE...because they KNEW the guy.
The owner of Cup Foods, where he was arrested, has offered to pay his funeral costs because they KNEW the guy.
Therefore it's a pretty good probability that the people who burned down The Hex weren't locals, and didn't give a damn about the neighborhood.

You cannot lump all the protesters into one bucket because they aren't "one bucket".
The tiny little apartment building where I FIRST MOVED IN back in 1978, the apartment I'm always talking about, that originally cost me 110 bucks a month? That got torched too.

Minneapolis burned4.jpg

The owner of the phone store is a little old asian guy, the seven people who lived above are poor people...they can barely make the 500 dollar a month rents. Why were they targeted?

The signature is evident on the side of the building!
That "anarchist" circled "A" was NOT there two weeks ago.
The arsonists left their calling card.
The arsonists are not from South Minneapolis, so they didn't give a damn.

My FRIENDS up there are all talking about what they saw last night, and it jives with what I am saying here.
Not everyone comes to these things are there to protest injustice.
This lady came because she wanted a pair of matching lamps, not because George Floyd was murdered.

Agreed, I literally said you have morons USING this as an excuse to loot and burn.........which dishonors Floyd, distracts from the **** that does need to be changed, because now the narrative is going to be, we can't change because YOU WON'T LET US CHANGE, how can we change, when EVERY TIME we are out there, we have to watch our backs, the 24/7 heightened tension, is a cause of a LOT of this....(not in Floyd's case) but in most others, it's not that they WANT to, (most of them) but they are nervous as hell, watch the footage of the CNN tower there in Atlanta, the cops inside, I am absolutely flabbergasted, that not one of them started to shoot....that takes some balls of steel, and they KNEW that was coming, imagine having to have that kind of wherewithal on a normal traffic stop? That will tear a guy to shreds, shortly.

Utterly impossible! Donald Trump is already at rock bottom as a president and as a man. He cannot diminish himself any further.

No way I’d be reporting without the same riot gear on that LEOs have. We get closer to civil strife, uncontrolled anarchy, civil war and martial law every day.
