Minneapolis cop who knelt on handcuffed black man arrested

Yet another modern lynching in the Imperial Confederacy of Amerikkka

More than happy to provide you an avenue to make a delusional response.

You are lying.

so prove where you have posted and spoke up against police corruption...I won't hold my breath though that you will actually do so.

He'll be found not guilty. ME report just came out and its favorable to the cop. **** gonna hit the fan again.

He told them multiple times I cannot breath...they did not assist him when he was begging for help. You cannot change what we all saw.

OK. What would you put as the crime, the cause of death, and how the officer inflicted it?

That isn't relevant to the point. If someone shoots another person on video, and that person dies, nobody needs to wait for an autopsy to be completed to indict them for the murder.

This is what they said about the charges today.

The evidence in the case includes a cell phone video of the incident, body worn cameras, witness statements, a preliminary report from medical examiner, and discussions with an expert, Freeman said.

Minneapolis ex-officer Derek Chauvin who knelt on George Floyd's neck has been charged with murder - CNN

I hope he is convicted...I won't hold my breath though...a man was killed in front of everyone at a Dennys too...by an off duty cop and her husband...they got away with it....I take that back, she got away with it...charges were dismissed against her, her husband however, was sentenced to 25 years.

[Cop who murdered an unarmed black man will get more liberty and privilege than the before mentioned black man he murdered.]

In other news, water is wet.

I don't see how anyone can say that. At the minimum there is enough evidence for manslaughter. Given the length of time he was on his neck with multiple people alerting him to the fact that he was killing him without moving there should be enough for murder.

I agree. 8-9 minutes? Including 2-3 minutes after the man either died or lost consciousness? There really isn't a punishment severe enough for the police officers.

The rest of the article can be found here.

It took nearly 4 days for this guy to be arrested... and the only reason was (once again) bystander footage. Police must be forced to wear body cams with full audio, and the footage should be analysed and audited by an independent authority.

Hopefully the folks who got their panties in a wad over Kaepernick kneeling will take a moment to put things in perspective.

Justify his murder Excon. Everyone is waiting for whatever bs narrative you google and or spin up in your twisted mind.

I hope he rots in jail.

Though I gave this post a like; I am not a big believer in long sentences, I am a believer in the certainty of the sentence. Americans, as a rule, seem to like long sentence, which to me is more about revenge than justice. If this guy spends 10-15 years in prison for this, stripped of his police pension, with the guys that stood around and did nothing 5 to 10, I would consider justice having been done.

he is missing the fact this is a preliminary report...it isn't the final determination...they are also getting an independent autopsy, because it is quite possible that this doctor is trying to cover up the cause of death...not seeing bruising on his neck doesn't mean the man did not suffer from aphyxia.

Not at all. Gathering evidence takes time. Statements from the other officers. Statements from bystanders. Deciding the proper charges that can be proved in a court of law.

Because when a person takes more than eight minutes to murder another person with his knee the police always let that person wander around town for four days while they "gather evidence". Right?

Defending these double standards is why a large segment of the population doesn't trust law enforcement. They aren't special. They're people. They put themselves in danger's way to protect our communities, but when one of them goes off the rails and breaks the law, they should be beaten with the book.

They also needed the autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

Not to mention the complicating factors of the riots and looting,

I have no problem with protesting and letting government know you want action. Heck if I lived there I would have joined them. But not in the sick and pathetic burning and destruction of property. This type of criminal behavior should not be tolerated.

No doubt - but if he died from something else, how much is the cop culpable ? Thats the question.

He told them multiple times I cannot breath...they did not assist him when he was begging for help. You cannot change what we all saw.

It is absolutely relevant. You have to know how someone died. In a shooting, the cause of death is more clear. In this case it's not, and it makes a tremendous difference. If you say 'he strangled the person with his knee' and it turns out the person died of a heart attack, the indictment gets tossed and you weaken any case.

so prove where you have posted and spoke up against police corruption...I won't hold my breath though that you will actually do so.
1. I have already done that on this forum.
2. No. The other person made the claim. They can't support their false claim and neither could you if you made such a claim.

He told them multiple times I cannot breath....

What a stupid comment.
Saying you can not breath means you can actually breath.
Why do you not know that?

I did not see the evidence as it was gathered to determine what action should have been take and when. I never said anything about the officer being detained or arrested. I do not like to prejudge because that is prejudice.

Where did I say I defended double standards. Now you are accusing me with lies. No they should not be beaten with the book but brought to justice the same as any citizen.

This CNN article has the official complaint. 3rd degree murder and manslaughter. It notes that the person wasn't strangled - but that the situation combined with underlying issues led to the death.

Justify murder? iLOL No one has been able to show it is murder to begin with.

And Conservative Treehouse has checked into the thread.

Excon's postings are just pure cop defender that's it. He's never seen a case where a cop broke a law

Excon just repeats whatever position the conservative treehouse takes. Everything from Zimmerman, to cops, to Donald Trump. He's their parrot on this forum.

No, you have not done that.

George Floyd was murdered in the middle of the street in broad daylight. What more evidence than you need than that to throw cuffs on him? You're being obtuse just for the sake of defending cops. Surely in a pandemic, you'd try to lick fewer boots.

Uh, the murder of George Floyd, now that we know what the charge is, has nothing to do with the pandemic.

But so we're clear, I'm not obtuse, I'm not defending cops, and I don't lick boots.

Revenge component of justice. I don’t believe in the death penalty but I have no problem with someone who takes a life spending the rest of his prison.
