cnn team arrested

Given that the whole situation has been caused by police officers actively making the area unsafe by, you know, murdering a dude......your comment is a bit lacking.

That doesn't justify CNN anchors from getting so close to the violence that they're distracting law enforcement, and making the situation even more unsafe - They should handle the situation like adults

"Why am I under arrest, sir" <----- How disrespectful

It's not disrespectful - it's irresponsible for a CNN reporter to repeat over and over on live TV when law enforcement is trying to protect people around you from serious injury or death

It's the same thing as Kaitlyn Collins disrupting the press briefing, repeating over and over "Why didn't you call on me?", and preventing anyone else from asking questions about treatments, vaccines, etc.

Also, people have every right to know why they are being handcuffed.

Why are you criticizing the government? That's unAmerican according to what you've said before.

A couple of things,

Clearly whoever made the decision to arrest, was in the wrong, should be reprimanded and publicly reprimanded, don't let this get swept under the rug with what else is going on,

Have they made a statement of why, that would be interesting to know why.....

And finally, as stupid as the people being arrested thought it was, that's how it's supposed to be, you are under arrest, no resisting, nothing to make it worse, they were under arrest, got processed and released, and while it's not quite no harm no foul, it's as close to that outcome as you can get. You do what they say to stay safe, and then afterwards you look at your options. If this reporter wanted to, he can sue the city/state for false arrest etc....that's the proper outcome, not, resisting until you get choked out etc.

Please stop linking youtube videos as news sources in the OP.

Why? YouTube is a video hosting platform. The OP links are from CNN, which is a mainstream media source.

Reporters are constantly under pressure from outlets like CNN to report in a manner

Here we go with this guy trying to sound intelligent. I just explained to you that a reporter doesn't have a live feed of ratings as they're reporting on live events. They do not know whether their reporting will bring ratings up or not; they knowing being close to the action is where they are supposed to be when news are happening.

Lmao, what use would he be if he were in a place where the protests weren't visible and you couldn't see the police?

Lol, you might want to go back and get a degree in humanities, so you can read the responses that are written, and understand them;)

Live feeds on ratings have nothing to do with any of this

It's good to see someone put these people in their place. Even if only for an hour.

we are these people the **** are you on about?

its irrepressible to oppressive to not have a dam good answer to that question

who was around in that video being protected by the arrest of journalists?

that seems like a threat to all of us

Is that what you need to understand you don't have a live ratings feed on the field and reporters must be as close to the action as possible to report news? Incredible.

I could have given you that knowledge for free. This isn't complicated. Reporters are close to the action. Why? Cause news from a block away from the action aren't news.

Incredible how that works, huh?

So if you were a reporter and you got arrested you wouldn't bother to ask why? Seriously?
He's not good at this. The guy is completely confused by a correspondent being close to where an event is happening.

There's a difference between asking once, and purposely repeating it over and over in a disruptive manner, while law enforcement is trying to keep the people around you safe - it almost seems like he's trying to stage reality TV

Reporting this close to an event where violence is occurring, and distracting law enforcement from protecting people around you, is not safe, and it is not responsible reporting. Period.

I’m not a journo, are you?

nope just another person who dosent want to be arrested on a whim and have things hidden from me

ther was a woman who ran past them and got arrested and them on an empty bit of street

Your exact source for that claim?

Be very specific.

I wonder if George Floyd’s family feels safe?

The fact of the matter is that the Minneapolis PD should worry more about rooting out the problem culture which contributed to this killing, and previous ones, and less about potentially looking bad on camera.
