'When the looting starts, the shooting starts': Trump outraged by Minnesota protests

You mentioned Hillary losing by just 80,000 votes in three States which sounded encouraging. Biden will lose by a great deal more but if you feel differently Las Vegas will be happy to take your bet.

Given the numbers there. Many are still betting on Trump to win this time around, once again.

There are also people/groups working to take advantage of the situation to diffuse / de-legitimize the primary message by bringing violence and theft to get us talking about that rather than the real issue. Some of these groups thrive on our division. They are there to aggravate, rather than communicate. Even the AG pointed that out, although he was quick to blame one group without mention of others. Foreign foes taking advantage of divide over race, national security adviser says - POLITICO
Absolutely agree.
We have allowed corrupt policing to exist in the country for decades. The Trump administration even went so far as to remove some of the civil rights efforts put in place by previous administrations to try to mitigate some of the problems, so Trump has made this worse.
You're falling into the Chinese trap. Derek Chauvin was directly responsible for the death of George Floyd, not the President, or a lack of any civil rights. And yes there is corruption in some police forces, most recently publicized in Chicago and Baltimore. The adage that 'power corrupts' is true everywhere among all levels of society. While we can never accept it we must also understand it.
We have 100's of cases of black persons killed at the hands of the police, yet we continue to sweep it under the rug. There are dozens of threads on DP where our fellow posters were quick to excuse it and want to move on.
I find that hard to believe but will accept it.
Eventually, we have to face the music of our systematic repression of the black community. The orchestra is warming up.
I don't know about you but I've done nothing to repress any community anywhere. But what I do see is a breakdown in the Black culture where the lack of a decent education in some neighborhoods is criminal and Black leaders, especially BHO, have done nothing to help. Even Trump improved on Obama in that regard.

Even in the present 'unrest' it is mostly Black businesses and Black neighborhoods which are being destroyed. How is that helping? Is that teaching Derek Chauvin a lesson?

So what am I, as a White man, expected to do? Tell Black people to get a better education? Don't get pregnant until you're married? Don't do drugs? Everyone already knows that. My options of helping out are limited but Black options don't need to be. It is not about race, btw. It's always about culture.

Thanks for the post.

Right. Why would anyone vote for Joe Biden? It doesn't make any sense, and most people understand that.

Trump is an authoritarian at heart and he's probably enjoying getting the chance to play the strong man.

It's sad to see so many so-called conservatives suddenly in favour of attacking the 1st amendment (Trumps EO against twitter and teargassing peaceful protesters) and supporting heavy-handed government. Today, the GOP is closer to fascism than Reagan.

if you are a leftwing collectivist who hates America and what made it great-you might be right.

So funny to see someone who describes themself as a Libertarian supporting Trump's attack on the 1st amendment, Trump's authoritarian tendencies, and Trump's threat to use the military against US citizens.

Question. Can you show me where those protestors had teargas used against them?

Yes, Fascism is just as close now as it was with Reagan.

another deflection by marke. Thank you for personally validating you are indeed a 'bad faith' debater.

Come on. Soldier through your bias and tell us what wrongs you think need to be righted to stop whites from abusing whites. Do blacks want massive numbers of white police officers fired? Why? Why can nobody list a handful of white cops who have killed innocent blacks and been dealt with during the 8 Obama years? I'll tell you why. Because there were no multiple examples of white officers killing innocent blacks. That lie is a lie and should be exposed before tens of millions of dollars more destruction is done by tens of thousands of morons who stupidly believe that damnable lie and think violent criminal acts are justified because of the lie.

All part of the "fundamental transformation of America".

The great hope of disgruntled blacks did what he could to transform God Bless America into some sort of third world Goddamm America communist ghetto, but thank God Trump beat Hillary in 2016 and arrested the unAmerican developments.

The NY Times seems to feel the same way, and cops have already been shot at, some killed. They must miss the Mafia and the survival of the fittest in action. This is getting serious. Thank God for the 2nd.

Opinion | The Police Killed George Floyd. Redirect Their Funding Elsewhere. - The New York Times

This is more evidence Joe Biden is not the only leftist currently going insane. To hell with the NYT and their ignorant support for radical leftist terrorists currently making war with America. I believe it is time for America to draw its guns and put these traitor terrorists in their place.

Going by betting odds, eh?

Betting odds had Clinton beating Trump 4 years ago.

Seems to be you're counting your chickens before they hatch...;)

It makes perfect sense. They'll vote for Biden for the same reasons they voted for House Democrats in 2018, he isn't Trump.

And now you're just making yourself look far too pathetic.

One more chance Puigb.

You mind showing everyone here, where Trump did as you posted in post #8?

You made the claim I lied, you prove it.

Trump absolutely did condone the white nationalist rally. He even stood quiet for a bit until the outcry occurred, and then tried the "both sides had very fine people" schtick to the applause of white nationalists everywhere.

Yet you're just going to hide from the fact that he condemned such groups in his speech about Charlottesville?

He did not condone them and that is something that you can't prove by simply saying that he did.

Cite it, please.

Yeah he condemned them in a half assed manner after being called out on his silence.

But you already knew this.

So that just going to be your excuse, is that it?

You're forgetting what I asked you Puigb. Where did Trump condone them?

This was your claim, so I'm expecting you to actually have the ability to prove it.
Because it's obvious that the only people he condone during that entire event, were the peaceful protestors. While he chose to point out that it was the violent protestors on the right & left, that caused all the problems.

The question is why wouldn't anyone vote for Joe Biden? Just look around at the state of affairs. Hundred thousand dead from a virus, riots, staggering unemployment numbers, a president so afraid of the citizenry that he doesn't dare leave the White House without calling in a B52 strike first. Obviously the Trump experiment failed miserably.

So when was the last time that you "not publicly" condone rape?

If we're in fact going to be playing by those rules now at the very least.

You dodged a fair question up thread ( again), once again displaying you debate in bad faith. Answer that question, show some 'real', 'genuine' interest in 'good faith' debating, and we can mpve on from there. If not, that's on you, and you alone. There is a good reason your L to P ratio here at DP is one of the very lowest. Think about that, and what it conveys about what fellow DP members think about your bad faith debating....Furthermore, and let's be clear, calling others 'morons' is a bit above your pay scale. Something else you may want to chew on before continuing your bad faith debating tactics.

The City of Detroit did not burn or descend into violence and chaos, like many other Democrat controlled cities. Detroit had a history of protest and violence, but it changed its own future. The reason was the Black Police Chief, had a good relationship with his fellow citizens, and was able to recruit peaceful citizens to defend their neighborhoods from the outside agitators. They nipped it in the bud as was suggested by Trump and common sense.

The Detroit police chief had been a young police officer during the LA riots; Rodney King. He remembered how the extremist outsiders burnt down and looted black neighborhoods. This destruction took decades to fix and created a lot of short term hardship for the people left behind. The Chief was not going to allow the good citizens under his care to be tortured by these agitators. The good citizens agreed and the agitators left for easier targets, like NYC, where the mayor coddled them and their violence. My hats off to peaceful resistance against agitator violence. Lawfulness unites all people in safety and security. Violence and lawlessness divides us by fear and insecurity. The Democrats have been for division since the Civil War, when Republicans did away with slavery.

An interesting observation is the Republicans and Trump says the outside agitators are extreme leftist groups. The Democrats and the main stream media claim the outside agitators are right wing white supremacist groups. Who is telling the truth?

One way to settle this is to look how each side of the political spectrum is reacting to the violence. The Democrat mayors appear to be allowing the alleged white supremacist agitators to have their way. They even associate these agitators with peaceful demonstrators. Why are the Democrat helping the far right extremists?

Trump on the other hand, wants to restore law and order with force. Why would Trump strike out at right wing supremacist groups who are supposed to be part of his voting base? And why would the left wing media and pundits claim Trump is being unlawful by targeting the agitators? Both the reactions by the left and by Trump make no sense if we assume right wing supremacist groups. If you do the math, everything makes more sense if you insert the words "leftist agitators." Only that conclusion would be consistent to the observed left wing alliance and support and right wing threats. The Democrats continue to lie to the America people.
