So, was it acceptable in the Civil war? Was it acceptable when the Revolution occurred? Those were all started as riots. What about the Boston Tea Party? Oh, those were white people riots, so acceptable right?

for 9 months of my life. I have been in South Carolina a year. I was born in Brownsville, Texas, not white, lived many years in Houston, Honduras and in South Carolina. I moved to Honduras in 1996 and back from Honduras in 2011 to Houston. So, my entire life I have lived in non white areas and I am in fact not white.

So you would be ok if the people who are protesting destroy or damage your property.

The police need to be held accountable. Destroying property is not a good way to get that done.

I visited Biloxi many years ago...it is some of what made me fall in love with the old homes of the South...ended well, because I am restoring a 125 year old 1 level victorian, built in 1895 and picked the town I am in because of all of the old homes around me. I have been through Jackson, but I don't remember a lot about it, because I was around 18 at the time and more interested in getting to my destination....18 year olds are so aloof.

My county...my town is blacker...but my county is 63% black. My town is around 80% black. You don't get to dictate to a poc how they should act or react to racism. How about you work on making sure that murdering someone for the color of their skin is stopped...then you might have a leg to stand on in this argument.

Perhaps, the buck stops with the white folks who have excused this away for too long. I doubt there would be riots if the issue was actually dealt with in a fair fashion, but it isn't. Shall we talk about all of the injustices that have led to this?
I can think of at least 4 in the past month. Do you think the poc should just take it lying down? Isn't that tyranny?
