??? The pavement might have been pressed against the artery at the front of his neck but the cops knee was on the back of his neck.

I didn't even think he snapped. I think he didn't realize he was killing the guy. I think he wanted to subdue him for some reason, and it all went wrong. But I do think there's a problem with the MPD, whether training or attitude. Check it out!

Yeah, as the thread went on I started coming around to copper having higher culpability due to he should have had training to preclude the maneuver he used, and therefore understanding of the circumstances.

But I still very much believe he did not intentionally kill. That would make no sense under the conditions.

EDIT: BTW, check out the video above in my post #202. You might be surprised at what you see.

The (4?) police officers involved have been fired and are under federal criminal investigation. To my knowledge Target and AutoZone had not been accused of anything - why are they being looted/burned?

I don't like that these protestors were out during the pandemic, but, they have to feel like the racist pandemic in America has outlasted their patience. I have spent two months watching adult white babies crying about their rights and how sick of it they are to have them violated by lockdowns but black people have had this feeling for years and years and years. They must be exhausted living with that skin tone. I can't even imagine how hard it would be to be black in America and have to worry about your kids or your husband or your friend being murdered by the very people who are supposed to protect you.

I'm at a loss :(

I decided what the thread topic was going to be, and included the phenomenon of black rage in my OP. Their rage takes many forms, including rioting and violent interracial crimes.

Non-diverse countries don't have problems with racial tension, racism, or interracial crime. Japan, Norway, Iceland...these countries are ranked the happiest and safest countries in the world. Use real data to form an argument, instead of 'its exhausting to have a certain skin tone', which is just first world blather.

Saw a clip on twitter of the PD doing CPR on a man that the poster of the vid said was shot by a person protecting a store from the looting. Pretty tragic things have gone so sideways for this community that what should be peaceful protests have turned into this disaster.

Who cares what his intention was? He kept his knee on that man's neck for several minutes after he stopped talking and moving. That was MURDER. Plain and simple Murder. That officer should be jail right now!

I hope that man survives, and I also hope that the media is held accountable eventually for all the victims who've died so that Zucker @ CNN can finally get some ratings and charge higher ad rates..

TBH, based on the clip I saw, I doubt he does/did. They were going at him pretty hard on the CPR and there was no ambulance in the vid and no defibrillator or first aid equipment of any kind on scene that I could see. I assume he bled out.

It was an unjustifiable use of lethal force in my opinion. But this thread isn't about the video of Floyd's death and whether its justified, its about the riots in Minneapolis. Who wants to step up to the plate and say that one mans unfortunate death merits a riot, in which other innocent lives will be destroyed or taken. Go on, you can be the first.

Jackson, MS is pretty nice. I believe Jackson has the highest percentage at 82%.

You may thrive there, but I don't think that the average white liberal would honestly ever consider moving there.
