Chaos In Minneapolis: Looting Occurring In the City, Tear Gas Being Used

How difficult would it have been for 4 cops to subdue an unarmed, handcuffed suspect?

The event leading up to this is beyond disgraceful.

Violent rioting isn't the answer. Peaceful protests are the only way.

Stay human. Those who were involved in the murder of this man and their defenders/minimizers are the inhumane ones. Reasonable folks understand that. Those who don't are simply trash.

Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.

I found out the cop that was choking the guy he arrested was involved in shooting two citizens prior... yeah one incident....

Context matters.

“In 2006, Chauvin was one of six officers from the Third Precinct who responded to a stabbing at a Minneapolis home. Police said Wayne Reyes stabbed his friend and his girlfriend and then threatened to kill all of them with a shotgun. Police pursued Reyes, who fled in his truck. He got out of the vehicle with a shotgun, and "several officers fired multiple shots," killing Reyes, police said in a report.“

“In 2008, Chauvin and a second officer were called to a residence for a domestic disturbance. According to police, Ira Latrell Toles, 21, was holed up in a bathroom and tried to escape when Chauvin got inside. When Toles refused to obey Chauvin's order to get down, police said, a struggle began and Toles grabbed for Chauvin's weapon.”

Two legitimate shoots in 20 years. Not bad at all.

I would not deny him a bail hearing same as anyone else but he hasnt even been charged yet.
What I saw on that video looks like premeditated murder to me.

Where is the context that makes choking a man to death while on the ground acceptable?

What i find curious is they have video of him being walked to the car and they have video of him on the ground but no video inbetween showing how he ended up there instead of in the back seat.

Yeah, and what a way to destroy a career. What happened, no coffee that morning? No pickle tickle with the wife? Ended up going to work in a sour mood, killed a guy, ruined his career and now likely faces jail.

No worries for him, though. Chances are he won't serve a day, and the DoJ won't bother even charging him with a civil rights violation.

Why don't you get your ofay ass up to Minneapolis and help straighten the brothers out? I'm certain as soon as they see it your way everything will change.

They could kill me and my 'ofay ass' on a Facebook livestream, and not one white liberal would dare say anything about it, because they're cowed cucks.
Whites are a minority in the city I live in. I doubt that you're really living up to your professed love of diversity Ricky.

Pointing to two shootings, both of which are obviously justified, doesn’t help you demonize the officer. Floyd’s death probably is a homicide, but murder is too high a charge. Involuntary manslaughter perhaps.

What's the black population percentage for your town? 1%? 2%?
Can you name a majority black city that you'd want to live in?
Liberals sometimes let their imaginations get the better of them, especially when it comes to their white-savior complex. They seem to think that reality is less important than the fantasies they've conjured up.

Ive been in plenty of places that are majority black, i dont have a white savior complex but i recognize i live in a society that is entrenched in cruel authority figures that take joy in things like this and i feel a need to end oppression. If we are not all free then none of us are free.

If that happened to you, no matter what is in your heart, people would want justice for you. No one deserves that. No one.

Involuntary manslaughter? Lol! The cops were very well aware of what they were doing. The officer is already in deep **** and deserves it. Its straight up murder.

Have you ever wondered what the impact would be on your psychology and resultant behavioral change after 20 years exposed to gratuitous violence and physical threats to your life on a daily basis? The job changes people and there isn’t adequate screening or help provided to ensure continuous mental fitness for it.

I promise you that if you do and that happens to you I won't say a word about it. How's that?

Why is that an issue for you? Maybe you should move to Scottsdale so you won't have to sleep with the light on.

I disagree that it wasnt murder 1. The guy was subdued in cuffs and not resisting. Whether the cop was trying to kill him or not, he did kill him by the use of intentional force that was unnecessary. He should be charged with murder.

They are rioting because the cop is still walking around free. He should be in jail waiting for a trial.

Agree.
They have every right to protest and protest loudly, but to loot and defile public property is not gonna' help anything.

Call me a moral relativist but murder outweighs rioting every time in my book.

That doesn’t make it murder. Do you have any evidence that Floyd’s death was premeditated?

No cop is exposed to violence and physical threats on a literal daily basis. Hell, Minneapolis isn't even that dangerous of a city - we have 3 times it's murder rate here in KC. I will agree that a policeman in a major city has to deal with a lot of pieces of **** on a regular basis, but that doesn't in any way justify or excuse this cop's actions here.

Exactly!

Second degree murder does not require premeditation.

Too freaking bad.

If you can't handle the heat, stay out of the kitchen.

Cops can spend their entire lives being good, honorable men, never once standing on a man's neck until he died.
