4 Minneapolis officers fired after arrest of man who later died

No, none of this is true.

All that the prosecution would have to show is that the cop knew or should have known that his actions could result in the victim's death.

"Should have known" won't mean **** and will cause a murder charge to get tossed out and guess what happens then? That's right, double jeopardy.

I agree the cop shouldn't have put his knee of Floyd's neck. He went waaay to far and sitting their with his hand in his pocket made him look like every other government asshole displaying their air of scumbag entitlement. All I'm saying is that the crime is manslaughter, not murder.
What makes it murder is the indifference to human life shown by the police officer.

"Manslaughter" might be appropriate, if he had died immediately - but the fact that the cop sat there and listened to him beg for his life for 7 minutes makes it murder.

Should have known means quite a lot - it means people can't beat murder raps by pretending they didn't know their actions would lead to someone's death.

If the cop can convince the jury that a reasonable police officer in his position would not know that choking someone for 7 minutes can kill them, then maybe he can beat it.

Because of that damned Constitution and all those ****ing rights like "due process" and ****.

A video of you with your knee on the back of another man's neck who dies, will land you in jail.

Good luck with that, I don't think anyone that has seen the video will fall for that. I would say he is going to jail for a long time, but I doubt he lasts long inside.

The cop don't have to prove jack ****...lol. Neither does his lawyer.

If you shoot someone and they die, that's murder.

If you punch someone and they die, that's man slaughter.

In this cop's case, you would have to prove that 1. Floyd was actually choked to death and 2. The cop knew that he was causing death.

The black guy wasn't jogging, wasn't bird watching,He commit a crime of some type.Different circumstances this time.

No, this just isn't how it all works.

Today, Wensdays livestream of the coverage. This guy is finding live feeds on the internet.

Good lord. Unless the police have some mitigating information this appears to be manslaughter. I say that freely admitting I'm not a lawyer so of course I don't know but..............

I would support the call to "Make America Great Again" if the effort included all law enforcement professionals to be reminded through retraining that they are first, and foremost "Peace Officers".
That designation means that they are to protect the society. It does not give carte blanch to assault and kill at will the citizens they work for.
This video clip appears to illustrate a level of cruelty, disregard and violent behavior that should make every citizen consider how they can voice their outrage about
the increasing incidence of racial murder by police in the US.

Cops frequently indicate that their work is challenging and risky, and that they deserve our support and respect.
Granted, cops who are so violent they pose a threat is a small percentage of the profession.
But those guilty of murdering citizens is not going to win more support or respect. Instead, every cop who needlessly takes a life undermines respect for the good cops.

It's exactly how it works. I can't believe that you don't know that a defendent doesn't have to prove his innocence.
I wasn't referring to burdens of proof, I was referring to your incredibly simplistic and inaccurate understanding of how homicide laws work.

This is one out of millions of police interactions that will take place this year. You can't judge every cop by this one arrest.

No, it isn't. Someone who can't breathe, wouldn't able to talk.

Try this experiment: hold your breath and try to talk. Let us know what you find out.
What? the poor guy died FROM being choked? Stop making yourself look like a Clown.

I doubt it was air or breathing. I believe the blood supply was cut off and that is what killed him.

Oh the cops will be charged for sure.

It blew me away that on the Judy woodruff PBS show she made a huge deal of this. She loves to feature anti Trump stories.

How is this an anti-Trump story?
