A shooting that injured one security guard at the Naval Air Station Corpus Christi in Texas on Thursday has been determined to be terrorism-related, FBI officials said.
The shooter, who has not been identified, was shot dead, but a second person of interest may be at-large, the FBI said.
"The public should remain calm, and if you see something, say something," FBI officials said.

Interesting; this comes on the heels of the news that a previous shooting at a Florida Naval Base was linked to Al Qaeda.

That blurb doesn't do the gate guard justice. When the attackers car approached her position he opened fire, hitting her dead center in the chest with enough force to knock her off her feet at which point he made a run through the check point to get on base.

The guard was able to keep her head and scrambled up and engaged the barrier, stopping his car.

She then walked down the car while emptying her service automatic into the drivers window, killing the attacker.

Fight like a girl, indeed!
 
1 dead Somali terrorist. Glad no one else was hurt badly. That gate guard was total legend.
 
I go on that base at least a couple of times a week. I hope they release the guard's name so we can all thank her as a community.

Whoever plays this guard in a movie,ñ gets an Oscar if it comes with the right writers.

Haven't seen her name yet, but they have released a picture so her last name is Boyd. She is apparently also a canine officer. Gotta love the muzzle! :lol:
