White House counsel advised Susan Rice to write memo on Oval Office discussion about Michael Flynn

Except we already know that the FBI saw no problem with the conversation.
We knew this back in 2017, and the recently declassified memo from Rice confirms it.

But do you know who had a problem with it?
Flynn
So he lied about it

We don't have a unitary form of federal government, it is federal for a reason. State governments are more unitary than the federal.

I think somebody needs to be brought up to speed as to what was said...

Now you get it.

I really wish I could find the video where some guy debunks ObamaGate by simply throwing Trump's on words back at him. He's right!

If a sitting president can start or stop any investigation he wants, how can Obama have been wrong for investigating Trump even as a civilian?

If a sitting president can virtually do anything he wants, why couldn't Obama be granted that same lee-way?

If Obama believed our national security was a risk, wasn't he duty-bound to investigation the cause and effect of such a risk?

People really don't stop and think these things through. Instead, they're too quick to stand behind their partisan lines and point fingers looking for any excuse to say, "See, we told you so!"

I've said from the start I'd let the Mueller investigation run its course and accept the outcome. However, I've also said Team Trump had far too many casual liaisons (and a few secretive ones) with Russians for there not to have been something underhanded going on. Sad part is we may never know the real story. But where ObamaGate is concerned, Trump knows he's just stirring the pot, handing his base red meat to chew on ahead of the 2020 presidential election. He knows any time he mentions such code words as "Obama, Hillary, Susan Rice, anyone within the FBI these days and now Joe or Hunter Biden" it just gets his base salivating. Those are names his base just cannot ignore.

I hope you find the video.

Those are excellent questions that can't be asked enough.

The GOP in congress must know that what they sow today that a Democrat president could reap tomorrow. A lot people believe like Barr and McConnell that a president should have near unlimited authority. Cheney was one...the presidents lawyer, McGahn....the Federalist Society...several SCOTUS judges....and with Trump breaking precedents and adding new ones by the hour....there seems to be a concerted effort to expand presidential powers permanently. Maybe they're betting that a democrat will never win the presidency.

Exactly.

The GOP used to be for limited government, states rights, blah blah blah....but now they support a dictatorship. From freedom loving to authoritarianism in a mere 20 years. They deserve the name hypocrites and worse.

Now you're up to speed on that particular dialog. No one said we had a unitary form of federal government. The discussion was about how the GOP has gone from one extreme in limiting federal power to seemingly wanting to broaden power within the executive branch, i.e., the presidency.

In the memo's, the FBI debated on whether to charge Flynn with the Logan Act...which highly suggests they had a problem with "the conversation".

You DON'T forget about a conversation you had with a Russian Ambassador especially not when the pres.-elect directed you to make the phone call the night prior from his Mar-a-largo estate.

The claim is about details of that conversation.

The Logan Act hasn't been used since before the Civil War.
Its an obscure law and rarely used law.

It's not everyday that someone commits treason like Flynn did. Perhaps, that's why the FBI were discussing the Logan Act.

Same statement applies. You DON'T forget about a conversation you had with a Russian Ambassador especially not when the pres.-elect directed you to make the phone call the night prior from his Mar-a-largo estate. Stuff like that you remember clearly.
