Again in ConservativeWorld armed men are allowed to defend themselves, with deadly force, from unarmed men, but an unarmed man is not allowed to defend themselves from armed men. ..

I have no idea what the hell has happened to the Republican party.

As I posted in the other thread, my wife and I have walked through maybe 6 houses in our neighborhood that are under construction. I never once thought that we would be shot.

I guess someone could have gotten mad at us for not having hard hats on or something.

Absolutely.

When I was growing up, all the neighborhood kids played on the now home sites. A freshly dug foundation is a natural fort! And everyone walks through the framing, picturing how the house is laid out.

We had many a dirt battle on construction sites.

And no vigilantes or off duty cops showed up to harass us, much less shoot us.

Wow. You just brought back a memory. One of my friends and I were having a dirt battle with 2 other friends and my guy took one right in the eye. Ran home crying.

I don't think anyone should get their hopes up too much. This could very well be a jury nullification trial. They're gonna say he was casing the place if they can't find anything he did wrong.

Hypotheticals are irrelevant.
They especially lack the other evidence that would go into making a determination.

And then pa made me paint the house with lead paint (it covers so much better than that new-fangled latex stuff) and after that we took our used motor oil down to the crick. Didn't wear no seatbelts neither. We're still alive, what's everyone complaining about!?

No. You are making things up to believe.
Nothing in the evidence even suggests such a scenario.
They wanted him to stop so they could talk to him.
That is the evidence we have.
There is no rational reason to attack the person over that.
