You haven't been paying attention have you? This is what motivates many on the left, bad gloom and doom news. Thank you however for not participating, it isn't good news, Americans are suffering, the coronavirus has created these numbers, not economic policies

Equal protection of the laws for unemployment compensation in our at-will employment States is the macro not the micro. We should have no poverty or homelessness in our first world economy even with capitalism. That is why we have a Constitution with a welfare clause General and a Congress, to come up with solutions not more problems.

Most of these job losses are just temporary.The unemployment rate is actually about 7% if we use Obama's system of reporting.

We have death levels 25 times or more than the Twin Towers.....plus.....were going into a depression. Is the Senate or the potus reacting with even near the same level of urgency as one 9-11?

I have friends that are out of work. My company has lost work due to this virus. The fact that you would make a thread claiming that a huge segment of america would be joyful says alot more about you than anyone else.

My side loves economic results in context something you don't understand and never will. The U-3 unemployment rate includes the under employed which Obama created a lot of, those are the part time employees for economic reasons, people who wanted a full time job but couldn't find one in that booming Obama economy. The U-6 tells the entire story of the Obama term, 9.3% never getting back to pre recession levels

The same holds true with GDP growth as you and the left ignore the reality that gov't spending is a component of GDP and that 842 billion stimulus is in the Obama GDP numbers, that spending isn't in the Trump GDP pre pandemic growth
