DOJ Drops Criminal Case against ex-Trump adviser Flynn

Its always in secret because there isn't a story there until any agreement is reached. There are always dinners and meetings prior to inauguration. Its just stupid to think its outside of normal for meetings to occur.

No they aren't always done in secret. Normally there is public knowledge of them. And this had nothing to do with any inaugural function.

? I didn't say it had anything to do with the inauguration, I said prior to it. Its not that they are done in secret its that they aren't really covered. It would really help if you were paying attention at all.

He wasn't President when he did it, Jack. So once again, how it would be lawful?

It's quite normal for transition team members to be talking to their foreign counterparts. Nothing particularly alarming when that occurs.

Yes, Russia hasn't always been the enemy of leftists. In fact, strangely enough, this Russiaphobia didn't seem to start until well after Trump won the nomination.

If you take the time to watch Oliver Stone's documentary "The Untold History of the United States" you will discover that Russophobia has been with us since the end of WWII. For the Baby Boomers like me, it's part of our conditioned DNA.

Oliver Stone is a paranoid crackpot who hates America. But doesn't hate it enough to immigrate, unfortunately.

Russia interfering, or at least seeking to interfere, in the election is not news.
You know that happens every four years.

Russia favoring one candidate over the other is of political interest.
Used to be known as McCarthyism by those favoring the candidate allegedly being helped by Russia.

The great scandal has been the claim that the Trump campaign conspired with Russia. This whole Flynn debate is a subset of that investigation.

Foreign help against the law and illegal - not to mention unethical.

CIA analysts," Fleitz wrote.

"House Intelligence Committee staff told me that after an exhaustive investigation reviewing intelligence and interviewing intelligence officers, they found that Brennan suppressed high-quality intelligence suggesting that Putin actually wanted the more predictable and malleable Clinton to win the 2016 election," he added. "Instead, the Brennan team included low-quality intelligence that failed to meet intelligence community standards to support the political claim that Russian officials wanted Trump to win, House Intelligence Committee staff revealed. They said that CIA analysts also objected to including that flawed, substandard information in the assessment."
Ex-NSC chief: House Intelligence Committee staff found John Brennan 'suppressed' Russia evidence

Brennan decided Russia was attempting to help Trump be elected
That was the claim they kept telling us 13 intelligence agencies agreed with the conclusions when 9 or 10 of them wouldn't of had the slightest clue or opinion on the topic.

The Russians interfered in our election at the invitation of Trump and worked on his behalf. Mueller said that. The Senate Judiciary Committee with a Republican majority said that. Our collective intelligence services said that.

The Mueller Report says the Russians helped in the Trump campaign. That has NOT been discredited and it is real and true.

What is this help that you speak of? Did they lick postage stamps for Trump mail-outs to voters? What exactly did they do that was so terrible?

Likewise, what exactly did Flynn do during his phonecall that made him guilty of a crime?

Read the Mueller Report - it is all there. And doing that broke the law.

A summary of Russian interference points on behalf of Trump can be found here

If that is to enough for you, read this excellent book

As to what Flynn did that makes him guilty - he confessed his own guilt before a judge in court.

"I am pleading GUILTY because I am in fact GUILTY."

But I want you to tell me - because I don't think you even know what happened, or even care to know. I want you to tell me what crime was committed during Flynn's phone call.

Because all I see you doing is rooting for your team - Team Obama - and you don't care what actually happened.

I gave you sources that answer your question. Here is another which summarizes the Mueller findings and is easy to follow

You can take this dumb 'just fell off the turnip truck' act and run it past somebody who pretends they are just as naive as you are.

If you insist on personal tutoring to correct your ignorance, please PM me and I can quote you rates for private tutoring.

It's detailed in the report. You wouldn't know. You fear reading it.

Rather than deferring like that, why not simply state the details? It sounds to me like you yourself don't know the details and you're just mechanically referencing something in garbage-in-garbage-out style.

This is t he typical 'prove to me that the earth is round' crap that Trumpkins resort to. If one is NOT aware of the findings of the Mueller Report, they need to hand in their license to be a thinking human being instead of joining discussions like this and playing dumb. .

You keep referring to "the findings" but appear not to know what those findings are. That's my point. So you're repeatedly referencing something out of blind faith, rather than actually knowing the substance of the matter.

It's kind of like if someone were to say "I believe what it says in the Bible" - but then you ask them what it says in the Bible, and they have no idea.

You: I believe we should do what the Bible says
Me: What does the Bible say?
You: I dunno, go read it yourself

I don't think you have any business preaching something as truth, if you yourself don't even know what that truth is, and can only obliquely refer to it by a label.

Your intellectual laziness and cowardice aren't my problem.

Why do you live in mortal fear of reading the Mueller Report?

You have no point as the findings of the Mueller Report were provided for you in several different sources.

This is like nothing else. This is this.

They made no such assessment. Stated they could not. What effect Russia had on the election would be nothing more than a guess.

They already dropped their case against Concorde Management alleging they violated the law with election interference.

The Mueller report said there was no evidence linking Trump to collusion with Russia.
We know that the whole claim of collusion with Russia was based on the fallaciously concocted Steele Dossier which was paid for by Hillary Clinton & co.

Flynn was wrongfully accused of colluding with Russia as a charade to spy on the Trump campaign. That's worse than what Nixon did with the Watergate break-in -- at least nobody was personally hurt by what Nixon did. Here, Michael Flynn and Carter Page have had their lives ruined by a political witch hunt designed to seize power from the duly elected Trump Whitehouse.

"this is this" - exactly - just self-referential garbage

We need to see the evidence to know what Flynn actually did. The FBI hasn't presented the actual evidence of what Flynn said. Where is the original record of what Flynn said that was supposedly a lie?
