In first, US brands white supremacists as foreign terrorists

Maybe you should get your eyes checked.

Indeed. I didn't realize you're one of the people defending Trump for publicly supporting Neo Nazis and White Supremacists, saying some are "very fine people," by trying to pretend it didn't happen.

Now I do. Thanks for making your position clear.

It seems like every liberal I deal with has vision problems. They can't see words right in front of their eyes.

Maybe conservatives should chip in for reading glasses.

It’s not true that Trump didn’t condemn neo-Nazis or white nationalists. He excluded them from his “very fine people” remark:

“And you had people, and I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis or the white nationalists because they should be condemned totally. But you had many people in that group other than neo-Nazis and white nationalists, okay?”

....the people that Trump pretty clearly meant to defend....(were) garden-variety supporters of the Robert E. Lee statue, and there are a lot of them in Virginia

Wow, Three bloods from LA visiting Chicago 10 years ago! As I said, Crips and Bloods aren't in Chicago. Plenty of other local gangs to fill in for them. You also conveniently ignored the point of my post.

I chose to ignore yours ... you completely didn't even get mine...

Sometimes, when things hit a little to close to home, people will attempt to deflect.

Maybe you could elaborate on this so that it is clear what you mean.

Of course someone tries to turn a thread about white supremacists into a thread about street gangs.

Terrorists is the theme... and if the shoe fits.

which they also lost to white people and they don't talk about that unless it's a woman.

Why should anybody lose a spot to a less qualified person? Why are you OK with this?

Holy crap, are moonbats still spreading this ridiculous lie?:?

He didn't defend the neo-Nazis.

He was referring to local Charlottesville residents for and against taking down a statue of Robert E. Lee.

That's forever, dude.

"Lost" a spot in the firefighter academy, "lost" an acceptance to a college...

It takes being stupid and personal failure for virulent racism.

You would rather a less qualified fire fighter try and save you from a burning building?

Some might and shake the guys hand and say, "hey, although my dog died as a result of you being a fire fighter, I support Affirmative Action"? As a person who supports less qualified being a fire fighter... when a woman can't pull you out of the building and as you are falling back into the inferno, you can shout... "You go girl!" Of course, if it was feeble little white guy who couldn't pull you out you would probably just blame the white man... right?

Why should anybody lose a spot to a less qualified person? Why are you OK with this?

i didn't say they were less qualified. hell, the people most mad are usually mad because they lost to a MORE qualified person (and that's not part of their birthright).

The entire essence of Affirmative Action is to advance less qualified people in order to balance things out, "fairly".

So they would be less qualified.

Idiocy.

No one gets a job or college acceptance for which they are not qualified. Standards are not lowered. That's racist bs.

Actually the "entire essence of Affirmative Action" is to promote the hiring of those from historically disadvantaged groups from amongst a pool of EQUALLY QUALIFIED potential hirees.

Admittedly that sometimes means that unnecessarily restrictive characteristics (i.e "must be 6'2" tall and capable of carrying a 150 pound person up and down a 100' ladder") have to be modified so that they reflect reality (i.e. "must be -6'2" tall and- capable of carrying a 150 pound person -up and- down a -100'- 50' ladder").

Yeah, they're choosing to ignore the rally was organized by neo-nazis, and the only logical conclusion one can get from Trump's message was that he talking about the nice people who decided to join the rally, and separating them from the Nazis they were next to.

I mean, how could anyone possibly not get your point? It's so evident. You're right. Trump admonished the Nazis, and praised the nice people standing next to them.

As he should. Them liberals sure are stupid.

Hahah.

i never said word about Affirmative Action. i was speaking of everyday life.

Ah, well thanks for that!

Reportedly it was from (as I recall the source) one of the Lincoln/Douglas Debates and the exchange went along the lines of

L - "Sir, if you call a dog's leg a tail, how many legs does a dog have?"

D - "Why five, of course."

L - "Nonsense. Calling a dog's tail a leg does not make it one. The dog has only four legs."

I might point out that many people call Mr. Trump a great President.

Trump clearly stated there were good people on both (indicative of two) sides. One of those sides just happen to also have nazis on it.

I mean, why can't they see your amazing point, bro? It's so dumb of these liberals to deny our reality. I mean, he stated the Nazis were bad, but there were some good people with them. It's amazingly obvious.

They need to get their eyes checked. As you said.

Nobody said that standards were lowered... you created that Straw Man because you can not address what was really said and is really the issue... "Affirmative Action is to advance less qualified people in order to balance things out".

Isn't that crazy? At the time White Supremacists were bragging on Trump's love...

One group loved Trump’s remarks about Charlottesville: White supremacists
"He (Trump) said he loves us!"

Of course once the White Supremacists realized that not everybody was as racist as them, and that Trump might suffer politcally, they try and pretend it never happened. As if everyone is as stupid and uneducated as a bunch of White Supremacists. SMH.

Oh yeah, community and business leaders also quit to protest Trump's public support of Neo Nazis, so them pretending it never happened isn't going to work.

Trump's business advisory councils disband as CEOs abandon Trump

Donald Trump's entire arts council quits in protest
That WaPo site is blocked. Do you have the name of the person who said Donald Trump loves them?

Your ugly lie was the most important thing.

The meat of the article is irrelevant.

Gosh, there are white supremacist terrorists.

And there are black supremacist terrorists.

And hispanic.

And animal rights.

And environmentalist.

Ad infinitum.

Sure, but the domestic white supremacist terrorists have killed an order of magnitude more than all the other domestic terrorist groups combined. The only people that don't recognize that, are racists themselves.

So yeah, Trump wasn't defending Nazis, he was defending people marching with Nazis....

It seems you don' really know or understand what the President actually said, being yet another victim of Fake News.
