Poll: Trump's coronavirus bounce fizzles - POLITICO

The survey, conducted immediately before President Donald Trump announced a 30-day extension of his physical and social distancing guidelines “to slow the spread” of Covid-19, shows 47 percent of voters feel the administration isn’t doing enough in response to the outbreak, greater than the 40 percent who feel the administration is doing the right amount.

Two weeks ago, 43 percent said the administration wasn’t doing enough in the days following the initial measures deployed to reduce the impacts of the virus, while 39 percent said it was doing the right amount.

For all those gloating a few days ago, he was 'at an all-time high,' what goes up must come down, especially when unsupported by facts. For a moment he might have looked like he was doing something, but it's worn off: everyone can see he's not coping very well.

Who Are the Voters Behind Trump’s Higher Approval Rating?

"Despite the president’s slow performance on the coronavirus and his series of falsehoods, some independent voters and Democrats are giving him a measure of credit for his handling of the crisis." "the president’s approval ratings are as high as they have ever been",

While public perceptions are fluid in a crisis, a notable twist in polling at this point is that independents are driving Mr. Trump’s bump in approval, and some increased Democratic support is a factor as well. Gallup called that “highly unusual for Trump” in reporting its latest survey, which was released last week and showed Mr. Trump’s approval rating at 49 percent, equal to the best of his presidency.

Look at what this rag starts with......."Despite the presidents slow response..................." They are a joke.

That's a bogus poll. (But you would know that if you had read the other thread on this topic.)

Where is Joe, btw?

Coronavirus: Americans trust Trump more than Biden to handle Covid-19 pandemic, polls say.

Biden is doing what republicans don’t do when a Democrat is President, respecting the office and remembering that we have only one president at a time, no matter what a catastrophe he is.

Imagine your outrage if Biden was saying what he’d do with trump’s crisis, if Biden was describing how trump has dropped the ball from the very beginning of trump’s crisis.

President of the United States of America Donald Trump's poll 'bounce' should be seen in comparison to that experienced by President Bush following 9/11.

LOL :lamo

Really?

Did you forget his attempts to do online "Town Halls" that failed miserably?

Or his failed attempts to make a simple video presentation?

And what about the declaration that he was going to initiate his own "online Covid-19 press conferences?" Not happening yet.

The Democrats are getting so disgusted, there are even moves to recruit someone else. Recall people posting about trying to get Cuomo?

This has nothing to do with him letting the President "do his job," but rather IMHO proof Biden simply isn't the man for the job.

If you believe all that hive mind propaganda, I have a bridge to sell you.

The Democrats appear to be telling him to lay low.

Where's Waldo?

"Whether this virus kills 100 million Americans or not isn't important. What is important is that Trump gets the blame for whatever bad stuff happens and gets ZERO credit for anything positive that happens. After all, this isn't really about a virus at all. It's about Trump just like every other ****ing thing in the past 4 years has been."

Sure I get what you're saying.

Since Trump has been more of an obstacle -- having states bid against each other, instead of a help in having the federal govt as a conduit; a provider of misinformation -- first, telling Americans it was just one Chinese person, then telling us it was it was 15 people and in a week, zero and now telling us if only 100,000 people die, he'll consider it a success, than a help, there is no good.

Let's follow the timeline:

Jan. 22: President Trump is asked by CNBC: “Are there worries about a pandemic at this point?” Trump answers: “No. Not at all. And we’re, we have it totally under control. It’s one person coming in from China. … It’s — going to be just fine.”

Feb. 25: Trump’s top economic adviser, Larry Kudlow, declares: “We have contained this. I won’t say airtight, but pretty close to airtight.”

March 9: Trump tweets: “Nothing is shut down, life & the economy go on. At this moment there are 546 confirmed cases of CoronaVirus, with 22 deaths.”

March 31: The U.S. has more than 180,000 confirmed coronavirus cases, about 80,000 more than any other country.

Read the other thread. I presented the date there and I don't want to repeat myself.

You know, the thing about "averages of polls", such as RCP is this: If the polls they average together are bogus polls...that means their average is bogus. Is a classic case of GIGO.

Whaot's the margin of error on the poll. This is likely to be statistically insignificant except to give anti-Trumpers something to jerk off to. Do you need a towel?

Only a moron believes 50% is an actual number to crow about. Let's watch the Righties twist this one. All America now knows who left this country vulnerable by not using the DHA to procure medical supplies back in Jan. The Dems will beat that drum all the way to Nov.

Biden will be in a wheel chair babbling that he's running for mayor by August.

Lol, you think he was fast out of the gate?

Let me try you then. Please give whatever evidence you have unearthed that he was slow in his response. All others have refused to answer this question.
