They had things that were just totally crazy and had nothing to do with workers that lost their jobs and companies that we have to save.”

I like the way he calls them 'clawbacks' - like he knows the GOP has taken away the right or opportunity to vote and Dems are trying to restore these. How come his people are still making excuses for voter suppression when we keep hearing the real reason from the horse's mouth? Republicans don't want people to vote.

Except thats not what he said. Not sure Guardian should be considered MSM, if you scroll down they have a anti Trump ad asking for money to fight Trump.

Well, he actually did say something like that:



He was talking about the Democrat's initial attempts to use the recent Covid-19 response bill to push a bunch of programs unrelated to the point of the bill. Among them was a rash of voter laws.

In fact, the Democrats were attempting to use the bill to change the voting processes. Expanding times for voting, absentee voting, all sorts of things that would stretch the process even more than it already is.

Who can forget the "hanging chads" with all those ballots which mysteriously appeared in those same Florida Counties both in 2000 (Bush v. Gore) and 2016 (Trump v. Clinton)? That is only the tip of the iceberg with our current system. Imagine it extended by those "revisions" hidden on the bill?

IMO Democrats make much of issues with voting, which are really non-existent. It's not that hard to vote these days. BTW, us Black folk know how to get ID, and can tell you were the DMV is located.

It's on tape. See above. Doesn't matter if you don't like the Guardian or even the Young Turks, where I found the recording. It's still trump's words, no doubt about it. And he said Clawbacks.

"Companies that we have to save." So much for free market and capitalism. The GOP's "too big to fail" appears to be the running agenda now to secure campaign finances from wealthy donors. And good luck showing any conservative that this is socialism...even fascism.

The GOP is on record for:

- Closing select polls
- Restricting voting rights
- politically stacking courts as high as the Supreme Court
- Actual voter fraud
- Supreme Court ruling over racially gerrymandering
- needing the technicality of the electoral college in 2000 and in 2016.

Why would Trump and the GOP want elections to be properly democratic? Even the GOP knows that it needs these things to win. Actually representing the people would interfere with their base needs to pander to Big Business donations.
 
Trump is right. Without voter suppression, stacking the courts, extreme gerrymandering, and smear tactics, the GOP is toast

The Trump Klan Party is the Voter Suppression Party, the old Repug Party can't hold a candle to them. Maybe his Master/Lover, Mr. Putin could help him suppress some American votes in 2020...the Puppet will do new tricks for him!

Republicans have known this for a very long time. Here is Paul Weyrich in 1980 explaining it. This is why they gerrymander so hard, This is why they cling to Jim Crow laws of felons can't vote and then do "Felony" sweeps that have a tendency to reach outside of their bounds, and why they can't win without cheating.

I agree it could sound either way, but other news transcribed it as drawbacks. It really doesnt matter to the story. Point is he never said 'easier'

He was clearly talking about how these changes would allow for more fraud. These are things Dems have been trying to do for a long time, get people to vote who arent allowed. Ie Illegals.

Restoring voting rights to who, Illegals?? Voting is a right for all Americans that should be taken seriously, most states now have early voting giving people every opportunity to exercise that right. Seems rather easy to vote now but that isn't good enough for you, is it? You want illegals to be able to cast ballots by taking away the security required to cast a ballot in this country.

Your comments are typical biased liberal rhetoric showing that legal voting isn't important to you but returning power to the entitlement mentality individual is. This is a perfect example of people who want to be catered to and have no responsibility when it comes to being an American citizen. when you break American laws, you pay the consequences, you don't give voting rights to illegals in this country. You want felons to vote, change the law. That isn't what the Republicans are opposing, they are opposing illegal voting. Why should it be made easier to vote? pretty easy now!
