Trump approval rating at all-time high

Have you ever wondered how someone can consider "dithering away until the situation gets so bad that between 100,000 and 250,000 people are projected to die" is the same thing as "promoting DOMESTIC WELFARE"?

PS - To many "(American) conservatives" (whatever that means) the ONLY form of a society that is a "democratic society" is a "Democracy" (used as a proper noun and thus capitalized). To those people a "Republic" is NOT a "democratic society" because it is NOT a "Democracy". What they think it is I have no idea because they appear to believe that the word "Democracy" in "Representative Democracy" simply doesn't actually have any meaning.

It is a meme within the extreme form of conservatism, based on fear and actual hate of non white people, assertive women and "foreign" religions. The KKK is an example, and a living one, of what was awakened when Obama was nominated to be the Democratic Party standard bearer. Civil Rights and Voting Rights came under attack by this loud minority, and they are fed by the GOP's fallacious description of the ACA (Obamacare) as the first slippery step toward Communism.

What began as a minor movement has become a larger minority whose values are an anathema to Christian Ethos, and those laws and articles in COTUS which they oppose or define to meet their wants, and to democracy.

Right, when losing the debate bring on that tired old claim of race baiting. Apparently you didn't like the California here we come video I sent you as there was no response, the truth hurts doesn't it?

You keep bringing up Obama but not his true results, losing the House in 10-12-14-16 and the Senate in 14-16. Why is that? Apparently the electorate didn't see the Obama results the biased, partisan way you do

lol....the only one losing is Trump, starting with him losing Michigan. Florida is next

The KKK and related groups are so tiny as to be miniscule and for all practical matters are not a factor in Trump's support.

Endless racial fixation on the liberal-left.

False. A 2.3% mortality rate spread out through the entire U.S. population is almost 7.6 million. If 40% to 70% become infected with a mortality rate of 2.3%, that ranges between 3 million and 5.3 million lives lost. This is the most troubling issue since WWII. Your attempt to downplay it has been rejected.

This is a made-up statement.

Comparing an infectious disease to automobile deaths is completely off base. The President downplayed the situation and failed to prepare for what would become the most pressing issue in our lifetimes.

Once again, you're making stuff up or posting half-truths.

That is your opinion based on partisanship. About the only thing Trump has accomplished during his term is not getting impeached.

Actually, that is not true. He was impeached.

Your ad hominem and lack of of understanding (or denial) of my comment is telling. What it tells me is you are one of the far right white extremist who fear assertive women and people of color, and believe they do not have the right or the ability to speak out or lead. I suspect you are a faux conservative and a faux Christian and actually believe you are better than others, especially those of us who support liberal causes: Equal rights and equal opportunities for all citizens; empathy for the poor, working poor, the aged and children; universal suffrage; labor unions and the NLBR; a fair and equitable income progressive income tax. Not the fraud written by Ryan and signed by trump, and his divisive rhetoric.

So you, me or anyone else aren't entitled to get your own money back with some interest?? Interesting logic on your part as apparently you have no understanding of what a forced contribution is and that it is my money with interest that I am collecting. You think it is may responsibility or yours to fund someone else's retirement during your 35 year working career?
You are unaware that your SS money paid for your parents and grandparents retirement.
And your SS money is being paid by your kids and grandkids.

You are entitled to it. But don't ever complain about other entitlements. Since you are not forced to take any entitlements. Except medicare, I hear.

Apparently you support trump, as does david duke.

What a stupid point, especially given that the guy who almost twice won your party's nomination is a Communist sympathizer.

If a Communist like Angela Davis supports Biden, is that a reflection on Biden?

That's just ridiculous.

The corrupt leftist NYTimes? Who would ever be so stupid as to trust them?

Trump was referring to local demonstrators from Charlottesville, not to the neo-Nazis, who he condemned.

Geez, the ridiculous lies liberals will believe, sheesh!

I love seeing people celebrate Trump while thousands die due to his incompetence. It really puts the deplorable in "Deplorables."

And the excuses they make. First, during impeachment, he was 'too busy' to testify under oath. Then the GOP who covered his ass and acquitted him without so much as a witness testimony claimed he hasn't handled the virus because he was 'distracted' by impeachment. Now he and his supporters claim he has done the best possible job.

Well, it can only be one of these, so which is it? They'll change their story again tomorrow.

What do you mean no witness testimony? All the videos shown were of witnesses called by the House testifying under oath. If the House Impeachment Clowns wanted more witnesses, they should have called them rather than handing the "open and shut" case to the Senate.

No, the GOP didn't cover his ass. There was nothing to cover. Not one single witness claimed there was a crime or an impeachable act, even those called by the Democrat Impeachment Clowns.

And it's almost impossible to believe that Trump couldn't have been distracted to some degree given the risk involved with the entire country watching.

Oh, and what were Democrats doing while Trump was planning to combat the Wuhan virus?

Involved with the fake Impeachment Clown Show in the House and tying up the Senate for weeks.

When they could have and should have been planning to deal with the pandemic.

Good news, not that you'd ever know this from watching the MSM. Ordinary people (at least not those who are not hardcore Democrats or are members of the mainstream news media, but I repeat myself) are rallying behind the president in a time of crisis. 11% of those polled do not approve of his presidency yet still approve of his handling of the outbreak.

I wouldn't count on this to last to November though. As soon as the crisis is over, I would expect Trump's approval to "plummet" (by which I mean fall from 49% to 44%, a 5% drop. It's all relative baby!)

This OP didn't age well.

He will lose in November. Worst president in history will be a one-termer.

Yes we know the outbreak and the impeachment happened more or less at the same time. The connection ends there. Trump was paying scant attention to either. He was tweeting and playing golf. Occasionally bombing Iranian officers.

And it cannot be possible that he's done a perfect job because he's awesome and he's done a poor job because of the impeachment. He did well or he didn't. Which is it folks?

Nor can it be possible he was too busy to attend impeachment hearings - playing golf and holding rallies - and yet he was deeply distracted by the event it affected his handling of the virus. He seemed not to care much outside of tweeting about it.

And even if somehow all three are true, what a useless loser. Wasting his time golfing and tweeting and holding rallies, while so deeply troubled by his impeachment he was paralyzed into inaction over Covid-19. What kind of incompetent nincompoop did Republicans elect?

Therefore, Trumpland keeps making up poor and conflicting excuses. None of it makes Trump look good or successfully shifts blame to his enemies in the House.

In the trial the House wanted to call more witnesses and the Senate said no. Therefore there were no witnesses at the trial. Regular caps in future please, we're all adults here.

Boy won't you be shocked when he wins in an electoral landslide.

That is factually incorrect to claim there were no witnesses. There were many witnesses. Their testimony was shown on video.

It is accurate to say there were no new witnesses, nor should there have been. It was the House's obligation to investigate, and the Democrat Impeachment Clowns lied that they had a slam dunk case.

The Senate properly determined that 1) there was no crime.

2) there was no impeachable act.

3) there was no proof that Trump had done what the Democrat Impeachment Clowns claimed.

So there was no need for more witnesses.

The House was and remains free to subpoena Bolton or anyone else they want do. That they haven't proves beyond any reasonable doubt this whole thing was a massive scam, built on a series of lies, highly unethical acts and federal crimes.

The House managers wanted to call witnesses at the Senate trial.
If they needed more witnesses, before the impeachment vote was when they should have done that.
Say, that reminds me ... did we ever hear from any witnesses who told about Schiff and his team's involvement with the whistleblower before & after his complaint was made to the ICIG?

i've always loved "the KKK is small" argument. it's genius.

it allows them to leave the entirety of white supremacists and all their supporters and sympathizers.

Still an irrelevant fraction of the country.

Are there racists, leftist lunatics, Communists and other wackjobs that back the Democrat Party?

Of course. Does that reflect on Obama, Clinton or any future Democrat presidents?

Barely at all, just like white supremacists barely reflect on Trump and Republicans.

Rather than look at the popularity and effective policies of mainstream Conservatism, liberals almost always look to the irrelevant fringe.

And what % would that be?

I would guess around 3%.

What about my points?

Knock it off. You and others like you love that this is happening, you see it as an opportunity. The last thing you care about is people getting hurt or killed, whether it's from the disease or the economic downturn.

Because when you are not under attack, you can still play the victim. So whiny.
