Good news, not that you'd ever know this from watching the MSM. Ordinary people (at least not those who are not hardcore Democrats or are members of the mainstream news media, but I repeat myself) are rallying behind the president in a time of crisis. 11% of those polled do not approve of his presidency yet still approve of his handling of the outbreak.
I wouldn't count on this to last to November though. As soon as the crisis is over, I would expect Trump's approval to "plummet" (by which I mean fall from 49% to 44%, a 5% drop. It's all relative baby!)

Trump approval rating at all-time high

President Trump's approval rating has hit an all-time high after it went up 5 percentage points within a month after a majority of the public said it approved of how he has handled the coronavirus outbreak.
The poll released Tuesday by Gallup shows Trump has a 49% approval rating, which ties his highest approval rating from January of this year.
The president received high approval numbers for his handling of the coronavirus pandemic. The poll found 60% of voters approved of Trump's response to the pandemic. 94% of Republicans approved, along with 60% of independents and 27% of Democrats.
Favorability among presidents has typically risen in times of crisis. George W. Bush had his approval rating go up over 35 points after 9/11. After the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941, Franklin Roosevelt added a 12-point boost to his approval rating.
A recent poll from Monmouth University showed that more of the public approves of Trump's behavior during the public health crisis than they do of the media's behavior.
