Well, that's something for surviving family members to keep in mind while they mourn their dead who probably died in this manner:

But Furuya says that this immune system response to this invader can also destroy lung tissue and cause inflammation. The end result can be pneumonia. That means the air sacs in the lungs become inflamed and filled with fluid, making it harder to breathe.

Del Rio says that these symptoms can also make it harder for the lungs to get oxygen to your blood, potentially triggering a cascade of problems. "The lack of oxygen leads to more inflammation, more problems in the body. Organs need oxygen to function, right? So when you don't have oxygen there, then your liver dies and your kidney dies," he says. Lack of oxygen can also lead to septic shock.

I mean, what's the loss of a loved one(s) in comparison to SS solvency? What great news! Silver linings and all.

Can't remember where I saw it, but somebody said that the only reasonable response to this absurdity is "you first."
    So nobody forgets, you're welcome!

A televised Robert Dwyer impression would lend Patrick some credibility.

At least they're admitting that they'll gladly sacrifice a few thousand folks for a dollar.
In coronavirus pandemic, Trump allies say they're ready to die for the economy
    Christopher Wilson Senior Writer,Yahoo News•March 25, 2020
Conservative supporters of President Trump are increasingly volunteering to risk death — and implicitly the deaths of elderly and at-risk Americans — from the coronavirus if it will help the economy.

The push for Americans to get back to work in the face of an unprecedented economic downturn began last week but accelerated on Sunday evening after the president began pushing the message that “we cannot let the cure be worse than the problem itself.”
These in my view are the same kind of mentality minded people who endorsed and backed slavery and supported segregation, because they put "money above respect for humanity".

These are the same kind of people who are like cult followers of Trump because they thought he could recreate the "1950's white nationalist program of enriching white people at the expense of non-whites and poor whites)..

They should learn to understand the Christian words they claim they support.
1 Timothy 6:9–10 warns against this destructive desire saying, "Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs."

What he is saying went completely over your head.
I’m a senior in the higher risk and in my opinion we need to get back to work.
This national shut down is doing more harm than good.
If you are a senior, stay home and stay away from people.

In U.K., a study found fewer than 5% of under 50 needed to be hospitalized. Hospitalization rose to 24% for people from 70-79.
Of those hospitalized only 5% under 40 ended up in critical care compared to 27% in their 60’s and 43% in their 70’s and 71% in their 80’s.

Anyone can look up or cite statistics. That’s irrelevant, and that’s not what he said. As a leader his advice is contrary to medical experts. It also appears to prioritize short term economics over lives..including many of our most vulnerable, and by virtue of his profession and venue, he’s trying to change public opinion.

This is a great idea. Eliminate the threat of Coronavirus, make Social Security and Medicare solvent, and kill off likely Trump voters at the same time.
