Republicans cannot cross legal lines like democrats in today's world because the news media and firestorm democrats do not overlook small sins of republicans like they do democrats.
 
They had 60 charges on him and his wife and settled for one guilty plea each, rather than bury them and make an example.

I guess it's easier for the prosecutors than a whole trial, and doesn't spook the other representatives, so it's a good deal for everyone, unless you've got some kinda justice fetish.

Stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from his donors is a "small sin" to you?

Stealing billions of dollars from poor Haitians is something democrats have done, but you will not hear about these sort of things from democrats and their media supporters.

I cannot name a single prominent democrat crook who has not received massive protection from leftists media and democrat government officials to keep them from being prosecuted. Everyone can remember, in Bernie's words, "Hillary's damn e-mails."

He was. I also think Blagojevich was unfairly railroaded by a vengeful democrat party for not submitting to Obama and the party in automatically naming their choice to replace Obama. If democrats are weak in other areas they are never weak when seeking to bury one of their enemies under the jail.

All the more reason we need an independent DOJ with a non-partisan AG. Prosecute everyone that breaks the law no matter the party. Sure sounded good.
