Trump says he will have a press conference at White House on coronavirus at 6 pm ET

It's not big now. We are being told that it PROBABLY will get big and that we should be prepared for it. Right now it is not a huge concern in the US at this current point in time.

Yeah tell that to the thousands that die it's "no big deal".

Jfft, let's remember that this is not a partisan concern, but one that is worldwide. Think of those who have taken ill, those who lost a loved one already.

Remember this tonight.

I expect trump will be more concerned with how the stock market is acting than any compassion for his fellow man. Seein's how he has none of the latrer

The director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention talked to the media about a respiratory disease that's in the news?

Wtf are people thinking these days?

Why would "the news" even be talking to someone like the director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention anyway?

Depe Stayt!!1!!1

Apparently the media didn't cover that briefing but instead were all over the phone call they received from Rod Rosenstein's sister.
But everyone who wants to find a link to the interview that no one covered can readily do so/

It seems entirely reasonable to want to hear from the director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The democrats have taken this outbreak as another way to attack the president. After all it is an
election year.

Trump says he will have a press conference at White House on coronavirus at 6 pm ET

President Donald Trump said Wednesday that he will discuss the deadly coronavirus outbreak during a news conference at 6 p.m. ET with officials from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Will Trump explain why he fired the government’s entire pandemic response chain of command and management infrastructure in 2018?

Trump Has Sabotaged America’s Coronavirus Response - As it improvises its way through a public health crisis, the United States has never been less prepared for a pandemic

It's not a big deal in the US right now. Jesus. You know damn well what I meant.

If it is a big deal in another country with thousands dead, we need to treat it as a big deal in the US, PERIOD. You don't wait until you have an epidemic to then make it a big deal.

Ummmmmmmm, that's why Trump is having a press conference. Duh!

hundreds were already dying when he blew it off and it was known it was fast moving. Duh! Some Moderate you are hitching to Trump over Country. Please put in a change for Extreme Right, I'm sure it's open.

Agreed, now do YOU want to make a bet that Trump DOESN'T make it a partisan concern?

So iow, you agree but won't. Trump doesn't dictate my behavior.

I'm not the President of the United States. I expect the president to be better than anonymous posters on a debate board. Sorry you don't expect that out of a President.

I expect the president will say that the virus is like a mild cold and not deadly. Nothing to be concerned about.
Sounds more like something a socialist would say - after sending the army to threaten doctors who would claim otherwise.

Trump doesn't dictate my behavior.

And nobody dictates trump's.

Will you lose faith in him if he makes his Presser a partisan display or a camapign rally?

tRump has already cited the press as making a bigger deal than it should be about a worldwide pandemic.

Cutting $ for the CDC wasn't a sensible move, and being a science denier may come back to bite him in the butt. Even if the Corona Virus is more severe for children and the elderly; in case --mb--s didn't notice, he himself is elderly too!

It is really sad to see something like a health threat to be weaponized for political gain. President Trump called for flights to and from China to halt after we learned how bad this virus had become in China. It is not like China was being upfront about the severity. Far from it. And low and behold if Trump didn't get crap for that too but it turned out to be the right thing to do. Maybe if S. Korea, Japan, Italy and others had done the same thing maybe it would have helped them from seeing hundreds now infected. Just learned a stewardess on a S. Korean flight to the U.S. has been diagnosed with Coronavirus.

Right now we are at peak season for the annual flu this country faces. Every year thousands die from complications of the flu. This year to date 105 children have died. This country does a phenomenal job of attempting vaccinating ALL for the flu yet many do not get the vaccination even though vaccinations can be gotten for less than 5 bucks. The CDC has a pretty good record in determining which virus will be the one that will be the outbreak for the year. However there have been years where they missed it. This year they were spot on. A and B are both prominent and vaccinations this flu season are spot on. Those getting the flu tend to be those who did not get their flu shot. For years I did not get a flu shot. But the last time I did it took me months to recover. So needless to say I get my flu shot every year. I do not want to have to endure that again. Quite frankly at my age I would doubt I would survive it. But my point is right now getting the Coronavirus in the U.S. is still very low. Maybe the news media and certain politicians could stop trying to start a wave of hysteria at this time.

He's already blaming the crash on the cable news stations and Do Nothing Democrat™ comrades.

Same ol', Same ol'

But, but, but....Ron Rosenstein's sister. (what ever the hell that has to do with...well anything.) :doh

Stock market pep rally. You have to understand where his concern lies.

Was my prediction wrong, then? I missed the narcissist's press conference.

How many alarmist, insane tweets did Trump make about the 2014 Ebola virus outbreak?

The answer is about 100 within 90 days. President Obama, trusting the advice of medical professionals, decided to let US Citizens with the virus return to the US for treatment. Trump tweeted:

"I am starting to think that there is something seriously wrong with President Obama's mental health. Why won't he stop the flights. Psycho!"
12:23 AM - Oct 16, 2014

Of course, Trump knows nothing about medicine. Or the communicability of disease. And he doesn't quickly get up to speed on the many, many issues he's ignorant of, either:

"The White House said Tuesday that President Donald Trump was referring to Ebola — not the deadly coronavirus — when he claimed that “we’re very close to a vaccine.”

What a moron.

Bull**** and lies mostly.
A full helping of political pandering.
A half portion each of hatefulness and narcissism.

What do you expect?

I expect the president will say that the virus is like a mild cold and not deadly. Nothing to be concerned about.

.... and he delivered just what you expected. At one point he even downplayed the threat by stating the flu is deadlier than this virus.

It's hard to listen to this guy. He is a poor speaker and ignorant on the subject at hand. He sounds like a kid in class that didn't do his homework, but would't admit it when called on by the teacher.

Our President is fundamentally an idiot.

Trump had no shortage of complaints about Oblama and ebola.

Trump in 2014 said Obama was 'a psycho' not to immediately cancel flights into the US amid Ebola outbreak in West Africa

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump
Obama just appointed an Ebola Czar with zero experience in the medical area and zero experience in infectious disease control. A TOTAL JOKE!

Our President is fundamentally an idiot.

A dangerous idiot.

Trump shut down the NSC's entire global health security unit, eliminated the NSC and DHS's epidemic teams, gutted the global health section of the CDC, and proposed huge cuts to both the CDC and the National Institutes of Health as recently as two weeks ago.
