Dow Jones Plunge Blamed on Bernie

The stock market doesn't have faith in Bernie.

Let me get this straight. Obama is still to blame for the Great Recession that GWB & Friends caused. He deserves no credit for preventing the entire global economy from collapsing. Trump is responsible for the good economy that he inherited. And when the stock market had a bad day 4/5 of the way through Trump's first term on reports that the coronavirus may be uncontrollable, the airheads at Fox News told their mentally vacant audience that Bernie Sanders did it. And they bought that.

Bless their hearts.

The Dems haven't even picked a candidate yet and the markets are taking a **** already? That's really grasping.

Will Bernie get the blame for every dip in the next nine months?

Edits because I can't spell
It may not be Bernie but the left will
It doesn't matter if it is true or not Fox and the right will blame it on anybody on the left if they think the Trump base will believe more of their lies
from what I heard this morning it was the Corona virus
well as long as Trump's base believes it it must be true
have a nice day

Wow, and I thought Fox and their brainwashed lemmings STILL blaming Obama for the 2007 recession and the 2008 crash was dumb. But leave it to Fox to become even dumber and their lemmings swallowing Fox's BS hook, line and sinker.

Come on, Bernie wins on Saturday, the stock markets don't open until Monday.

When the stock markets open, they react to the Bernie win with a massive selloff.

Corona has been ongoing for weeks now.

South Korea and Italy being mentioned was the reason for this selloff. SK is a big manufacturer. And Italy is a looooong way from China.. The virus is spreading and people are scared. Wall Street has panicked for a lot less reason.

But listen to Fox, they are on top of this.. lol

False. The stock market plunge is due to coronavirus fears. Of course Fox News would make this idiocy up.

The right is making up all sorts of **** about Bernie. Right wing poster boy Charlie Kirk posted on twitter "doing the math" on Bernie's tax plan, saying "Bernie wants to tax anyone who makes more than $29,000 at 52%," which is comically untrue. Right wing "young intellectual" Charlie Kirk doesn't know what the **** tax brackets are. (it's 52% of income over ten million a year.)

Time to buy crypto currencies. Dollars are going to hell in a handbasket

You are kidding....right?

Corona virus.

I follow the market closely. This is related to warren buffet saying this will impact supply chains and some corroborating supply chain reports.

From a technical analysis viewpoint.
There were many gaps just below 27,000 on djia.
From what I've read over the years, all gaps must be filled.
And any news can trigger a sell off.
The corona virus is a legit reason. But it will pass.

Agreed. The market is looking for a correction. Frankly the market does not care how many people die.....only how it impacts business

WHAT?????
FOX not tell the truth??
I thought Trump said it was networks like MSNBC and CNN that were posting " fake news " NOT FOX
and if FOX said it was true it had to be and all of the Trump followers believe anything FOX says
NOPE it can't have anything to do with the Corona Virus it HAS to BE all Bernie's fault.
Have a nice night

Business is afraid of what Bernie's policies will do to business. Plain and simple, they are going to try to position themsleves to prevent as much loss as possible and that means starting now.

Bloomberg - HIGHLY respected in certain monetary circles - called Sanders a "communist." The communist won Nevada and is destroying the weak other Democratic opponents. That is something the wealthy and anyone whose retirements and savings are in investments should legitimately be terrified of. Sanders wants 70% of it from the start - and then lots and lots more for all sorts of new kinds of taxes all designed to take ever dollar they have.

The more it looks like Sanders might win, the more the stockmarket will fall. In a curious way, that helps Sanders, putting the old white political health-and-wealth political tele-evangelist, but also and economic political terrorist. Merely by running he might be able to destroy capitalism by a terrorist fear factor merely poising the threat to take everything they have, forcing them to live under Venezuelan economic conditions.

Well Fox is the GOP's propaganda machine, so it's to be expected.

This being said, while somehow forgetting that FOX has been much better to Bernie than the other outlets.

Then again you most likely didn't even look at the actual video of them speaking about this, and how Charles gave his point.

The stock market doesn't have faith in Bernie.

The headline says Charles Payne doesn't have faith in Bernie. The article says the stock market is worried about coronavirus.

Market plunge over coronavirus fears underscores political risk to Trump

And another thread on it from a different angle. Truth is this time it has nothing to do with Trump or his opponents. However, the danger is if it drops on the incumbent's watch, whatever the actual reason, he might take a hit at the ballot box.

Yeah, it's a nonsense explanation. Plus, I thought Sanders was definitely going to lose against Trump's very decisive 2020 victory. If anything the market should go up if that's the case.

That's 'tremendously' decisive victory folks. He has rolled out the longer adverbs for this election cycle.

Don't be blind to the reaction of the market. The markets, big business, industry, all do not like Bernie. Bernie is proving everyday what a true Socialist he is. His latest plan for universal child care and preK are adding trillions more to his already crazy budget dreams. Latest numbers have his programs costing almost exactly what the total wealth of the U.S. is. I'm talking total for every man woman and child. Roughly 98 Trillion dollars. This is true socialism. We take all you have in taxes and then redistribute according to what the government leaders believe you need. All the while those at the top are getting all they want.
The marketplace is going to take every measure it can to try to sheild itself from Bernie's tax plans. The do that by selling off and reorganizing.
