The judge presiding over Roger Stone's case has denied a motion from the defendant to have her disqualified.

Judge Amy Berman Jackson in a filing issued Sunday evening said Stone's legal team did not provide any "factual or legal support" to have her removed from his case.

Stone, a longtime ally of President Trump who was sentenced to more than three years in prison last week for lying to Congress and tampering with witnesses, moved to disqualify Jackson on Saturday, arguing the judge revealed her bias against him with comments she made about the trial's jurors.

this will be appealed. this is a conflict of interest. there was a democrat legal analyst that said she ruined the case with her political rhetoric.

So. That was the first step. Now Stone can appeal this ruling to a higher court.

Also, if I remember correctly, that Judge also has to take up the issue about that juror. That was shelved by Jackson until after she passed sentence. I'm thinking that'll be another one that is appealed.

And yes...Trump will just sit back, bide his time...and when/if it becomes necessary, he'll pardon Stone.

Sorry about that, Trump haters.

Stone should get a new trial.
First of all, the jury foreperson was biased. That should be enough for a new trial.
Stone’s attorney should request a new venue.
Secondly when the judge said Stone was involved in a cover up, doesn’t sound like she is nonpartisan.
 
Trump should just pardon him and be done with it. Stone didn't receive judgement by a fair and impartial jury. It violated the 6th Amendment.

Really? Who EXACTLY is the "deep state"? I'm not asking for you to give us the blather your QAnon leader tells you. Give us documented proof.

Probably more than half the people locked up in Angola can justifiably say the same thing. Are you advocating for their pardons as well?

No political hack is going to disqualify herself, power is the only thing that matters to these cretins, so they are not going to give that up if they think that they have a choice. .

However when Trump pardons Stone he will have the nations approval, because this was abuse of a citizen at the hands of the state, for political reasons.

Yeah, so what if the foreman of the jury was biased against him? I mean, how fair of a trial is he entitled to anyway? We can't let fairness get in the way of putting him in jail because he knows Trump. The ends justifies the means.

If Trump is re-elected Barr will quickly determine that the only way to insure impartial federal juries is for the DOJ to vet all juries in all federal trials.
