[W:169]Russia Is Said to Be Interfering to Aid Sanders in Democratic Primaries

You assume I visit Facebook. I don't. Sorry.

We're all marketing. All the time. Some of us are so good at it, people pay us good money to do it. Real good money. Some of us do it all; change minds, confirm bias, sell you **** you don't need. We're good. And it must work, because they keep paying us tons of cash to do it.
Sure marketing works. Hell...look at the number of simpletons that still regurgitate the Russia story.

But it works because it feeds an already existing jones.

no you made a claim not supported by anything hence it is baseless and doesn't need to be argued against.

So you basically do not understand human nature then, this is consistent with my observation of your posting behavior.

Trump continues to represent that in 2020 of course. The Potus Trump is in fact the principal 2020 enabler of it in the US Government -- Trump is the Russia 2020 Electoral Enabler in Chief of the USA.

This along with Trump's Homeland Chaos Deputy Moscow Mitch who since 2016 has become heavily involved as Enabler in Chief of the Senate by sidetracking bills and reciting Russian propaganda points on the Senate Floor in addition to keeping the Kremlin's livestock of Republicans at parade rest (save for one, Romney of course).

I wonder meanwhile whether Trump has met Gen. Gerasimov chief of the General Staff in any of Trump's meetings with Putin in 3rd countries. I don't know yet I'd be curious since Gerasimov is the, ahem, mastermind behind the entire cyber operation against USA society and elections since circa 2013-14.

Gerasimov-550-1.jpg

Chief of Russian General Staff General of the Army Valery Gerasimov

That is, the Gen. Valery Gerasimov (Val-ER-ee) with his staff and FSB, the GRU Gerasimov also commands plus the entire Russian alphabet soup of intelligence and espionage agencies that designed, initiated and developed and continue to pursue the disinformation divisions that led to the 2016 election and that have developed further since. Several USA national security and Russia experts civilian and military have published about this, to include in the Military Review quarterly of the Army Command and Staff College at Ft. Leavenworth (founded by Gen. Sherman in 1881 while chief of staff) and at the Army War College in PA, USMA Institute of Modern War among others.

We know Gerasimov took his initial cues from the social media chaos of the Arab Spring in Egypt as his primary model of how modern IT can destroy a nation's government by disrupting and disintegrating social stability, order, cohesion and the political viability of the government. Toward this end against the United States Gerasimov advanced proxies as agents of these Russian schemes. While Russian military doctrine has never been a pillar of Russian foreign relations or policy, the controversial moniker of the "Gerasimov Doctrine" declares a permanent conflict against the USA that exists in a vast area of IT operations that roam clandestinely between peace and war.

To wit:
.... Yeah.

Human nature = Undefined term

Ad hom = Not a valid debate tactic

Trump has never accepted Russian help in the election. He received no information from Russia in 2016.
But we all know Mrs Clinton did-- you know, that famous dossier made up of anti-Trump information from anonymous Russian sources.

Of course he accepted their help. He used the stolen emails throughout his campaign.

Bernie condemned Russia's effort and said that as president, he would work to put a stop to it.

Why hasn't Trump said that?

Us guys didn't elect trump, the electoral college did. We didn't fall for the propaganda, the right did. You still deny russian meddling.

The majority of people in the majority of states elected the president, as the system intended.

What nonsense. Conflating marketing with a federal investigation with reporting.

Yeah, marketing works. It works to solidify beliefs already held, brand loyalists, and it works to sway opinion, undecided shoppers.

I have no clue what point you're trying to make by arguing these simple facts. Simple. Really. Average everyday American simple.

Why hasn't Trump said that?

How would Sen Sanders do this?
By cutting back defense spending, as he has pledged to do?
By ending sanctions against Russia (of which he was opposed)?
By banning fracking (thereby making Russian oil more valuable)?

.... Yeah.

You're missing a lot of reality here that is occurring in the USA 24/7 and is engineered by Russia.

Military Review is the quarterly journal of the Army Command and Staff College, Ft. Leavenworth, Ka, which I noted in my post and that you deny, along with other official U.S. Army publications and journals.

From Small Wars Journal:

Russian Hybrid Warfare as Unconventional Warfare: Implementing a Counter-Unconventional Warfare Strategy

According to James Wither, Russian Hybrid Warfare is distinct from the traditional hybrid warfare definition because of its emphasis on non-military methods and information warfare.[xii]This focus on the “hybridization of information” includes both cyber and traditional media operations such as denial of service attacks on Western media, traditional and social media disinformation campaigns, and political influence campaigns.[xiii]

The meddling that he described and the Russian military doctrine that developed after his article all closely resemble U.S. UW doctrine [Unconventional Warfare]. The blending of diplomatic, informational, military, and economic elements to induce a desired political outcome short of a declared war is clearly a central premise of U.S. UW doctrine. These tenets are also clearly reflected in Russian “hybrid warfare” doctrine, which discusses the need to employ concepts of “information-psychological action,” “indirect action, i.e., sabotage and “informational-technological action.”[xviii]

To date, there are dozens of scholarly articles speculating on the nature of Russian unconventional actions. This debate has only led to further inaction. Rather than debate over the appropriate response to a new generation of warfare, policymakers should recognize that the Russian government is conducting a form of warfare that has been firmly rooted in U.S. military doctrine for over 50 years.

Nah. We have a semi good bead on the kinds of activities Russia is pursuing. They pulled a lot of the same in the Cold War.

:p you think Russia using Hybrid warfare tactics means you are right to go on hyperbolic tangents about Trump?

Okay :D

Bernie condemned Russia's effort and said that as president, he would work to put a stop to it.

Why hasn't Trump said that?

On a scale of 1-10 I give Bernie a 10 for that.

On a scale of minus-10 to plus-10 I give Potus Trump a minus-12 and a summary judgement of life in prison for the gross violation of his oath to protect all Americans against all enemies foreign and domestic.

On foreign policy, national security, national defense Sanders and Trump are a different same-same. While Sanders has spent a lifetime smooching up to dictators of the proletariat Trump has spent his time smooching up to any leader who is authoritarian with totalitarians such as the old Soviet liner Kim being Trump's ideal.

As to China, Trump hates 'em over there, Sanders is oblivious of 'em and Bloomberg is brainwashed by 'em.

Warren, Buttigieg, Klobuchar could probably find these places on a map with Buttigieg the former USN LT able to read it and chart it yet none of 'em offer any basis of encouragement. So methinks it's getting time to put some generals and admirals in charge of things along with civilians who can find the rest room without having to use a floor plan.

Moderator's Warning:
Moderation is pending. Knock off the personal crud and off-topic nonsense. The topic is in the news story. It’s not you all.

I respectively disagree.

I don't see Sanders kissing Putin's ass like Trump does.

Comrade Sanders would join forces with Comrade Putin while fist bumping as they ride along side by side bare chested on horses during his first Presidential visit to Russia.

Comrade Sanders will seek advice from Comrade Putin on how to turn The U.S.A. into the Russia of Putin that he has admired from afar for many years.

I respectfully disagree...Kissing asses does not fit Trump’s... Trumpian Persona.

That Trumpian Persona came to life when Trump left behind the braying ass kissing party for The Elephant Trumpeting Right Party.:2razz:

imho Roseann:)

Okay :D

Putin-Trump Rowers are absolutists in their support and defense of Trump who has failed completely to protect the American people against foreign intrusions into USA elections, political outcomes and public opinion. I give Trump a summary judgement of life in prison for his willful failure to carry out his oath and to in fact besmirch it.

If you'd read any of my links you'd have seen that Hybrid warfare is a misnomer for unconventional warfare that itself morphs and changes with technology, doctrines, policy and so on. And that the intrusions Russia continues to make into the US are in a large part the US UW of the past 50 years turned against us. In recent decades US has called its UW a color revolution such as the Orange Revolution that stalled in Ukraine due to a Russian military intervention the US could not answer in kind due to geostrategic policy and factors.

It's still undetermined what kind of effective response the US can execute against Russia to include perhaps Russian interests, and include what a strategy of deterrence should be and how. A response and deterrence against cyberattacks on the civilian population in their daily lives are mandated so stay tuned.

It's a blending of unconventional warfare, information warfare, and conventional warfare, but okay :)
