Kremlin says U.S. allegations Russia is working to re-elect Trump are false - Reuters

MOSCOW (Reuters) - The Kremlin said on Friday that allegations from U.S. intelligence officials that Russia is interfering in the 2020 election campaign and trying to boost President Donald Trump’s re-election chances are false and the result of paranoia.

A person familiar with the matter said on Thursday that U.S. intelligence officials had told U.S. lawmakers last week that Russia was interfering in the 2020 election campaign by aiming to cast doubt on the integrity of the vote to boost Trump’s re-election.

Logic fail alert..... casting doubt upon the integrity of a fair election does not help Trump at all, it hurts Trump if he wins, because according to many of the mentally challenged on the Left the only way Trump can prove that Russia did not help him steal an election is to lose it.

One would think that The Swamp would dream up a better narrative, but obviously not.

The quality of the work of the elites sucks, even their propaganda.

If you would have given this 30 seconds of thought rather than 15, you may have considered that what Russia is trying to do is suppress turnout, which helps Trump.

Of course, that extra 15 seconds of thought would require you to take your head out of the swamp.

The left couldn't prove that Russia stole the election for Trump before. So I don't think they have much of a chance in doing so this time around either.

Agreed. Trump's going to do his best to hide the truth by not letting anyone testify or talk, and Conservative America is terrified of the truth, so they're going to do everything in their power to help him.

What a sad sad state for country to be in.

What truth? We've already seen that Russia had at best, a minimal effect on the voter base during 2016 and even then they were doing crap that benefited both Trump and Hillary.

Hell, they weren't even the only country found to be meddling in our election and for some reason people are so latched onto Russia for some damn reason.

I can use the "not letting anyone talk" defense against the democrats as well. Seeing as it shows that they don't want anyone seeing through their lies.

True, but our IC has proved meddling. What we should be doing is a counterattack. Leave the politics at home. And Trump needs to tell us WTF is going on. I'm not holding my breath.

Regardless, Russia's objective is disruption and discord. Trump is preferred as an easy mark, but Russia really doesn't care who wins.

Your reply demonstrates the effectiveness of Russia's efforts. Your eye is not on the ball, which is exactly how Russia wants you.

We've been told what's going and as far as meddling goes, it was bare minimum compared to what we do to other countries. We've also been told about other countries that have meddled in our elections and the administration was accused of lying.
