Trump says Russia supporting his reelection 'another misinformation campaign'

The contrast is more along the lines of how the Trump Admin responded to the intelligence versus to how the Obama Admin responded:

The Trump Admin behaved professionally and responsibly and let Sanders know what was going on.

The Obama Admin sent 'surveillance" to the Trump campaign to see if anyone from the campaign was working with Russia.
They never let the Trump campaign know what Russia specifically was up to.
They then permitted the false narrative that the Trump campaign, and maybe even the president himself, was a co-conspirator with the Russian efforts to develop and take hold amongst many in this country.

They didn't back Trump in 2016-- the anti-Trump Steele dossier demonstrates this.
They wanted chaos.

WTF are you talking about, they investigated the varsity to see if it were factual.

It turned out to be, but even worse trumps campaign was actively working with them. You certainly do not inform someone who has become a person of interest that they are being Investigated...

We already know the Trump campaign was NOT working with Russia. That ship has sailed.
The Obama Admin chose to approach the problem as being a situation where Americans in the campaign was assisting Russia.
The Trump Admin, apparently, has not.

The Steele dossier was compiled by a retired expert on Russia with decades of Russian contacts, hired by an American company, vetted by 17 intelligence agencies proven to be incredibly accurate.

But if you tell that lie over and over again enough times maybe you can convince some low education gullible fool...

They were working with Russia as clearly outlined In the Mueller report.

They just couldn't make direct ties to the Kremlin.

120 counts of collusion and cooperation, at least ten counts of obstruction to hide meetings.

Several of trumps people going to jail about lying about those contacts.

Trump didn't work with Russia:lamo:lamo:lamo

Mueller specifically stated they could not prove actual coordination do to obstruction, a d that trump was in no way exonerated...

I'm glad that Sanders spoke out about his not tolerating Russian interference in our elections. That's the different between him and Trump, Sanders is an honorable patriot, Trump is a cowardly traitor.

Yep-- and Steele himself has said he doesn't know who these sources are.
Why do we refuse to accept the possibility that Mr. Steele was played by Russian intelligence? It is certainly reasonable to think so.
And dossier has been discredited-- unsupported.

I expect Trump will be encouraged to push the envelope even more after reelection than he has after the impeachment failed to convict.

The $64 question is "How far does Trump have to go before the majority of Republican Senators and House Reps turn against him?"

Pushing Sanders, who is so far Left that many Democrats, much less Independents, don't approve, would divide the Democratic party. "Divide and conquer" is an old truism. Dividing the Democratic party helps ensure a Trump reelection. Dividing America weakens America and helps Russia by keeping us busy on our side of the pond so they can do whatever they like in Europe, Africa and the ME.

Agreed that Sanders did the right thing by calling it out instead of denying it was happening. Trump, OTOH, is either an anti-American Russian collaborator or he is so mentally deluded that VP Pence and the Republican party should enact the 25th Amendment. Something that could very well happen after Trump wins reelection.

Meanwhile, Putin laughs at us.

We know he wasn't played as the only entire Intelligence community has verified most of it.

As for saying that he didn't know his sources, how ****ing naïve are you.

You think a professional spook would ever hint about his sources in Russia, it would be signing tbeir death warrants...

Why are we clinging to the belief that the Russian sources of Steele were 'legit'? Seriously.
It makes no sense in light of what we are learning now-- that Russia is backing both horses in 2020.

They are hacking voter rolls in every state, and we don't know about voting machines yet.

We k ow they tried, and have had four years to work on it.

We know they will do whatever they can to select trump.

At least this time his staff doesn't have to meet secretively, the Republican Senate has aid it's just fine to request and receive foreign assistance.

Trump and Putin are certainly laying out campaign strategy through diplomatic courier...

Are we not big boys and girls capable of walking into a polling booth and voting for whom we want? Is there a communist gun pointed at our heads in there?
