I'm filing this in the 'friend of my enemy is my enemy' file.

In other words, Trump really has to go.

The reporting states that this briefing is why the DNI is under new management.

Well, sure, because Russian interference is a feature for Trump, not a bug. Bring it on Vlad! How dare the ADNI have Congress briefed on that like it's some kind of BAD thing.

Good riddance to bad rubbish, amirite?

Because “weaponizing” information is what Trump would do.......

Here we go again-- Russia backing both ends to create division.
Don't fall for it again.

Even Trump is smart enough to fear such an endorsement.

Classified briefing to lawmakers? To GOP lawmakers?

This week McConnell again (3rd time) used parliamentary procedure sleight-of-hand to deny a Senate vote on 3 bipartisan passed House bills that would better protect the US from 2020 Russian election meddling.

No need to wonder why people now call him "Moscow" Mitch McConnell.

On the flip side, I'm betting Iran doesn't care much for Trump right now and will be backing the Dem candidate in 2020. China too.

Seems to me that the Russia! Russia! Russia! hoax helps the Democrats more than it helps Trump.

And of course, Trump just-so-innocently lost his ****:

WASHINGTON — Intelligence officials warned House lawmakers last week that Russia was interfering in the 2020 campaign to try to get President Trump re-elected, five people familiar with the matter said, in a disclosure that angered Mr. Trump, who complained that Democrats would use it against him. The day after the Feb. 13 briefing to lawmakers, Mr. Trump berated Joseph Maguire, the outgoing acting director of national intelligence, for allowing it to take place, people familiar with the exchange said. Mr. Trump cited the presence in the briefing of Representative Adam B. Schiff, the California Democrat who led the impeachment proceedings against him, as a particular irritant.

During the briefing to the House Intelligence Committee, Mr. Trump’s allies challenged the conclusions, arguing that Mr. Trump has been tough on Russia and strengthened European security. Some intelligence officials viewed the briefing as a tactical error, saying that had the official who delivered the conclusion spoken less pointedly or left it out, they would have avoided angering the Republicans.

Russia Backs Trump’s Re-election, and He Fears Democrats Will Exploit Its Support - The New York Times

He reacts precisely the same way to anyone that reports wrongdoing on his part. I wonder why it's the same reaction here. :thinking Oh wait, no I don't. I know exactly why he had the same reaction here.

And isn't it wonderful? Our intelligence agencies feel required to imperil national security by not reporting on interference in our elections because doing so will "anger Republicans." And Trumpists cheer on the cause of this cluster**** administration.

Of course they will... Just like with their phony impeachment, screaming "Russia, Russia, Russia" from the rooftops to falsely convince people Trump's colluding with Russia, is another desperate "Hail Mary".

It just never ends with them.

I like the "But China' argument on the Russia topic.
Of course, the over-played one is "but TDS!".

The idea that Trump has been tough on Russia, that's a golden-oldie as well. Good times, a very entertaining presidency...tragedies always are.

I like the "But China' argument on the Russia topic.

You know what they say. The frenemy of my enemy's friend's enemy is my friend. Sort of. ;)

The whataboutery is relevant. If it matters who Russia backs, then it matters who China backs. And Iran, and Irsael and all 190 other countries too.

Your "but China' defense of Russia/Trump, was atrocious, as you know.
This new post, is worth a like, since you noticed, and it's in good taste, sort of. :)

The impeachment wasn't phony, it occurred, and the allegations are uncontested.
Russia hacked the DNC and was a significant help to electing Trump, that's not contested reasonably either. Stone was linked to that, and just got convicted...surrounded himself by crooks but you're making up "screaming" hyperbole?

It's true, Trump's bad behavior has never ended, and people who want to hold him to account, also won't stop. Not sure why aren't cheering law and order though...

And you know that if I had started a topic on how China doesn't want Trump in 2020 it would take about .001 milliseconds before someone mentioned Russia in it. Might as well thrash it out here.

Yep

and the allegations are uncontested.

Yep-- Trump WANTED to do something-- that never actually happened.

Russia hacked the DNC

They did indeed.
They also plowed Mr. Steele with disinformation about Mr. Trump.

and was a significant help to electing Trump,

Not really. But debatable.

Stone was linked to that, and just got convicted.

He was asked by the Trump campaign to find out from Wikileaks about if the had any more info coming.
And lied about it.

t's true, Trump's bad behavior has never ended, and people who want to hold him to account, also won't stop. Not sure why aren't cheering law and

Russian efforts never end.
Neither, probably, will the Democrats to use it for their own advantage.

You can't be serious?

Not one allegation by the Democrats was proven and no crime was even alleged... The impeachment farce was a joke and a national embarrassment.

Russia hacked the DNC and was a significant help to electing Trump, that's not contested reasonably either.

Significant help? LMMFAO

A hand full of ads on facebook.... lololololol

OMG.... You really need to stop watching Rachael Maddow and quit getting your news from far left blogs

Your post just proved that what I said was true...

Yes he does. But, hey! The economy is the best EVER! So let’s keep the narcissistic nut job!

He gets things done and he keeps his word, that works for me.

As for the cheap name calling by mostly people with hate in their hearts....as they constantly put us through sermons on hate.....That has to go away.

Apparently Trump "fell for it." He shot the messenger.

Yes, so he fired the head of national intelligence for bringing him the news. Pretty amazing. Lesson learned: keep the President in the dark about anything that might upset him.

What a leader.

After learning of that analysis, which was provided to House lawmakers in a classified hearing, Trump grew angry at his acting director of national intelligence, Joseph Maguire, in the Oval Office, seeing Maguire and his staff as disloyal for speaking to Congress about Russia’s perceived preference. The intelligence official’s analysis and Trump’s furious response *ruined Maguire’s chances of becoming the permanent intelligence chief, according to people familiar with the matter who, like others, spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a sensitive matter.

We know for sure that the government won't be spearheading any kind of response against Russian meddling in the 2020 election. Thanks to "America First!" Republicans.

Ah, apdst has special insight into American intelligence and "knows" Russian interference in our election is a "hoax."

I wonder what his reaction would be if the Russians were helping the Democrats? :soap

Your point only applies if all those nations are actively interfering in our elections.

If that was so, then why are our intelligence agencies only reporting that Russia is the culprit, and not the others? Deep state?

All you need to start your new topic on China is a New York Times article on how American intelligence agencies briefed Congress that China wants to see President Trump reelected, viewing his administration as more favorable to the Kremlin’s interests.

We'll wait.
