Barr has told those close to Trump he is considering quitting over the president's tweets...

Latest reports are saying that Barr isn't considering quitting. . . . .

Makes me wonder if some think that this would reinforce the ginned up FaruxRage against Barr, in the hopes of forcing Barr out?

Has anyone gone on record that Barr ever said to them that he might quit because of Trump?

This sounds like FakeNews, yet another selling of a false narrative (AKA lie) claiming unnamed sources told them.....Garden Variety Propaganda.

If it comes from the WaPo, then I take it with a pound of salt.

I am sick of "anonymous sources" claiming this and that, all in an effort to split Trump's Administration any way they can.

IMO it's just another bunch of OpFor moles trying to stir up as much trouble as they can.

I wish that Trump had worked on a "shadow staff" prior to winning the election in 2016 so that he could have swept most of the "Old Guard" out of advisory positions. Then built up on that staff via careful vetting processes.

That's going to be a major problem for any future "outsider" coming into office, and argues against a future "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" candidate who doesn't have a core staff coming in with him.

If you don't think was made for public consumption, youre kidding yourself.

"Barr told lots of people close to Trump, both inside and outside the WH"....all unnamed sources.....as if lots of unnamed sources make the claim any more credible than one or a few.

This is not how Barr works....he is better than that....he would take up any concerns about sticking around with Trump personally.

I am sad that so many just assume that there is some validity to the story after we have seen so many lies from the media.

Do people ever learn?

Horsecrap, he caught the lying bug from his boss.

Agreed. If Barr's got a problem he certainly appears to take it straight to the source.

Apparently some do, but many don't. I think the failed US education system might have something to do with that. Perhaps they should focus on education rather than liberal / progressive indoctrination? Just a guess on my part.

We know that there is currently a huge campaign in operation from DeepState/Uniparty/The Swamp/the Failed Intelligentsia to get rid of Barr and to discredit the departments investigation into those who abused the nation and Trump.....and we are supposed to believe a media story targeting Barr that has nothing but unnamed sources?

No, the Non Morons are not that dim.

Probably no cabinet member has kowtowed to Trump's needs and whims more than Barr, except maybe Pompeo. When Trump went after State Dept. personnel, Pompeo offered no support for his staff. Now Trump is going after the Justice Dept., and Barr is trying to balance that with showing some loyalty to the integrity of his department personnel. State is disparaged and disrespected on a regular basis, so who cares about them? But Justice is expected to meet a certain standard, so Barr pribably felt he had to complain, and complain again, btw.

Its fine to fire up your base with unhinged conspiracy theories about the "deep state", but when you have to square that with the reality of department work, as Barr must, it's bound to get annoyingly concerning. So Barr complains. But Trump gets it, and just blows off his pleas. Barr surely feels no one else on this planet cab serve as well as he can as AG, so quitting isn't an option for him. He and his department will just have to put up with it. As he has proved over and over again, Trump has no interest in even the appearance of integrity.

A study shows that those who watch Fox News are actually less informed than people who dont watch the news at all. Even their management complained to staff about the relentless propaganda, but they know how their bread is buttered - they'd just rather not see it, I guess.

Yeah, Barr really showed how "better" he is when the author of the Mueller report accused him of misrepresenting it. A real capital guy.

That's really funny considering that I cited NPR and MSNBC. :lamo :lamo :lamo :lamo

Yeah, the fauxrage machine is running on overtime and at 11+!

How 'less informed' can you get?

Barr is not responsible for what others say...it was not his fault.

We had the whole report with-in a short amount of time, that claim was a meaningless PR stunt.

I replied to the wrong post. I'm simply pointing out that the public education system probably isn't so much to blame as, say, Fox News. At least students aren't leaving school stupider.

Maybe he's got better things to do than to refute every bit of gossip published about him.

The other near certain option is the "leak" came from Barr or his surrogates at his direction, so there's no need to rebut a story he pushed out to WaPo to serve his own ends. It's roughly the same message he sent on national TV just a few days prior, in person on video.

We watched Barr say it on TV.

And then in days we had the report and knew that Barr was telling the truth. What the Mueller team was upset about is that Barr said anything at all...they had expected that he would only regurgitate the words as they had written them, words that had probably been focus group tested to savage Trump as best they could even though they found nothing.

Given that, I retract my post.

Wishing you well.

Although I don't agree with you assertion that 'students aren't leaving school stupider', but oh well.

The author of the report said he misrepresented it. And we have not seen the whole report.

Trump is leading a Rebellion against the problem, he is not the problem.

Yeah, OK. It's kind of fascinating the buck in your view stops anywhere but on the boss's desk.

Trump is not responsible for The Swamp because the Swamp is treasonous, they are actively subverting this democracy because they cant stand the President that We The People picked.

Which means that we made the right call.
