More Than 1,100 Former DOJ Officials Press For Attorney General Barr To Step Down

I wouldn't vote for Trump even if Satan himself was the democratic candidate. As a matter of fact, I'd volunteer for his election campaign.

Then you better stay home because that is what Today's Democratic Party offers you

Re: More Than 1,100 More Than 1,100 Former DOJ Officials Press For Attorney General Barr To Step Dow

You spend way too much time here listening to like people who pay zero attention to actual results. there is no reason to elect a Democrat and regardless of what you think it is going to be four more years for Trump based upon the following as results matter
Unemployment Rate 4.7% January 2017 vs. 3.6% today

Employed 152.2 million January 2017 to 157.9 million today so 6 million job growth from 2008 to 2017(146 million to 152 million) is celebrated but 6.7 million growth I the last two years isn't!! LOL

U-6 in January 2017 9.3% vs 6.9% today? Wow!! 2.4% better U-6 obviously meaningless to you

Part time for economic reasons, 5.7 million January 2017 vs. 4.2 million today? Looks to me that incredible job growth you claim was boosted by part time jobs

African American unemployment 8.0% vs. 6.0% today? That explains the surge in support from African Americans for Trump

I understand you want to credit him for all of these things. I do not. He has merely benefited from the trajectory of an improving economy that began with his predecessor.

What makes him unfit to be an American President is his character. He lacks character, in addition to the fact that he remains woefully ignorant, arrogant, thin-skinned and impulsive. As a human being, the man has almost no redeeming qualities. Character matters. He has none.

Here is what some of America's most conservative newspapers said about him in 2016. Tell us what they got wrong.

We recommend Hillary Clinton for president
Enquirer endorses Hillary Clinton for president
USA TODAY's Editorial Board: Trump is 'unfit for the presidency'
Our View: Clinton the choice to move us ahead

Trajectory doesn't pay the bills, the Trump economy does

You have a very partisan and biased opinion of Presidents. You have never analyzed other Presidents like your 24/7 anal exam you have given Trump who has done nothing to hurt you, your family or the country. You offer nothing but partisanship with no alternative. You buy what you are told but offer no proof of your allegations. You believe the American people give a damn about Ukraine, Roger Stone or any other issue you want to charge Trump with while you ignore the past of previous Presidents. I believe you are a very selfish human being who doesn't like the private sector, needs massive gov't help to meet your own personal responsibility issues, prove me wrong

I have been an active participant in American politics at the state and federal levels since 2004. I know the candidates, I make it my job to know them. With Trump it was very easy since I've known about Trump's dishonesty and racism for the past 30 years.

Yes I have hatred for Trump and have never tried to hide it. He's the most corrupt politician in the history of this nation. Richard Nixon was like a Catholic Pope in comparison to Trump's criminal behavior. Why anyone doesn't hate him is beyond my comprehension.
Your hate is beyond most people's comprehension. It might be time to get help.

Have you taken a look at the Democrat/Socialist field? Those clowns are running against a great economy with promises of tax hikes and government control. Lot’s of luck.

Well, it was a Democrat that started this "great economy"... it was juiced with the benefit of tax cuts we could ill-afford, and most Americans recognize that. Hence, suggesting a tax increase as part of lowering deficits is not necessarily a political loser. Moreover, the greatest societies in the world today are rooted in democratic socialism.

What is a political loser is allowing the level of divisiveness, corruption, lawlessness and utter disrespect for truth and the rule of law that this administration has uniquely added to the American political fabric. People are tired of this.

That's ridiculous and I may point to you and accuse you of aiding and abetting a criminal element sitting in the White House. Why on earth would you do that? It's all of you people on the right that need help, maybe a therapist. I suggest that you beginj healing by paying attention to why I hate Trump. I've been spelling out the reasons loud and clear for anyone with a mind open enough to listen.

I don't 'hate' any politician. And your 'hate, btw, is just a carryover from the Last Bush Administration and before that the Reagan Administration.

This is because the left controls much of the media, the entertainment industry and the educational system. The consequence is 'haters', people like yourself, despite living in one of the best countries anywhere. Bush Derangement Syndrome

The officials warned William Barr’s interference in criminal cases for Trump’s personal benefit is behavior one would expect to see in an autocracy.

More than 1,100 former federal prosecutors and Justice Department officials are calling on Attorney General William Barr to resign following reports Barr and President Donald Trump intervened in the criminal prosecution of Trump’s friend Roger Stone.

In an open letter released Sunday, the former officials say Barr broke Justice Department rules when he overruled federal prosecutors in Stone’s criminal case, seeking a far more lenient sentence than the potential nine years prosecutors originally recommended.

“It is unheard of for the Department’s top leaders to overrule line prosecutors, who are following established policies, in order to give preferential treatment to a close associate of the President,” they said.

In their call for Barr’s resignation, the former Justice Department officials suggested his behavior is a threat to democracy.

If there's still anyone on the right that believe that we're exaggerating and sounding the alarms out of shear hysteria, THINK AGAIN

I'm going to jump to the conclusion that those prosecutors are democrats and Trump haters. Just how many ex Justice Department officials are out there? You need to add some context to these numbers. Is there 10,000? Maybe 100,000? A million?
Any laws been broken?

Then you are part of the problem not part of the solution. You do not support the foundation upon which this country was created thus have zero credibility. 56% of the American public support what Trump has done on the most important issue for the American people, the economy. You keep promoting the witch hunt and keep losing elections. You are one selfish individual who cannot admit it

That's a good point. Notice how the left needs no evidence at all to make accusations. In this case, they ignore that, and are now focused on a letter signed by 1100 whoevers that want Barr to resign. No evidence at all (ignore that), but a letter that they just made up should be acted upon.

The impeachment... no evidence at all. Wait... one piece, the transcript, hugely in Trump's favor... ignore that. Just call witness upon witness, that didn't see or hear anything, that disagree with Trump.
So what if Schiff's staffer worked with eric ciaramella and they talked about ways of removing Trump? No big deal.

And the Russia hoax... goes on for years with, you guessed it, no evidence of wrongdoing, just leftist accusations against Trump, from the day after he was elected!

Don't forget that Schiff gets to make up his very own version of the transcript and pass that off as if it's fact. So not only do they get to have no evidence and expect to be believed (#BelieveHer) but they get to submit complete fabrications as evidence.

Your jump to your own conclusion couldn't be more wrong. There's 2,000 signatures now and the numbers of retired or former employees of the State Dept is besides the point, this isn't a contest on how many people signed this letter and how many did not. That's not the point at all. Here's a fact. Two-thousand prosecutors, both men and women are speaking with one voice. The numbers of signers continue to grow every day as more people sign that letter.

Former district attorneys, former U.S. attorneys, former FBI agents and former career lawyers that have worked for the Dept of Justice for several decades under several presidents. The letter spans across party lines, both republicans and democrats that spread across the country geographically. What it highlights is that the DOJ is an institution that's only effective because the people trust it and believe that there's integrity in the decision making process at the DOJ. That's what Bill Barr has destroyed by overriding a decision made by career prosecutors. All of a sudden the president's good friend gets special treatment that no other defendant in a criminal case has ever received.

Whoa! You even admitted to your hatred. It is not a healthy emotion, nor is encouraging others to hate either. Hatred is what inspires fanatics to start shooting people at a baseball practice or drive a vehicle into a campaign tent filled with volunteers.

If they get this excited about a case where no crime has been committed it will be interesting to see their response when the Durham Report is released and Rod Rosenstein's possibly illegal signing of the FISA applications.

You're the one with the problem. You couldn't name one principle that this country was founded on so how would you know what undercuts it, erodes it and ultimately destroys it? The 51 word U.S. preamble to the Constitution expresses a commitment in perpetuity to five public responsibilities, Union, Justice, Tranquility, Defense, and Welfare. These are the basic principles that were set down in the preamble, did you know that? These principles were in the preamble to approve and encourage human liberty for both living and future citizens.

Now would you like me to explain to you how Trump is destroying those principles?

It's a sad day for this country when people such as yourself cannot distinguish between right and wrong.

Attorneys for the DOJ are non-partisan, most of these attorneys have worked for both Republican and Democrat administrations.

that's bs. 90% of the donations from DOJ personnel in the last election went to Democrats

I just took a glimpse of the list and I was able to pick out a few familiar names:

Donald Ayer - Barr's predecessor as Deputy AG in the Bush, Sr. Administration
Leon Kellner - fmr. US Attorney for South Florida during the Reagan Administration, indicted Noriega.
John McKay - fmr. US Attorney Western Washington, part of the Bush, Jr.'s Attorney Dismissal scandal - fired for his aggressive investigation of the murder of AUSA Thomas Wales.

I'm sure there are a lot more there as well.

those are part of the GOP establishment that Trump ran against.

Credible link that validates this^^^ positive claim ?

I need credible proof you actually care about the issue rather than this being another case of stalking.
