1,100 Former Justice Dept. Prosecutors and Officials Press for Barr to Step Down

Whew...

If ya gonna play ya gotta pay. That's what I always say. Step up your game.

Here's free advice:

A) Beginning a post with "DOJ employees (I was one for 24 years)" sets off dozens of alarms. Not a good idea, true or not.

B) If you're going to basically poll groups of people politically, you have to apply your findings to a political issue. You first have to identify the issue, then you can address possible bias. What you cannot do, which you've done here, is show a generic bias in a certain group and then use that to show a particular issue is political. Assbackwards. Fails any and all logical tests.

C) You shouldn't run away so fast. Stick to your guns for at least four or five posts before telling us how you really feel.

Catch ya on the rebound. Have fun. Be safe.

I really don't need someone who spews idiocy that Trump is fascist telling me how to debate. That is akin to asking the French to advise our army how to win wars

nice diversion., try again. what proof do you have. Hating Trump isn't a valid form of evidence, nor is pretending to be independent

Back already? I talk to myself sometimes too. We all do. What's on your mind dude?

Whose?? Won't answer the question, why? Would this be an issue for you were Stone not associated with Trump? what is it about people like you that creates such loyalty to a failed ideology?

Roger Stone sentencing: Trump attacks DOJ prosecutors

"Roger Stone committed multiple serious felonies and continued his obstruction even after he went to trial," said William Yeomans, a Justice Department veteran who served under five presidents from Jimmy Carter to George W. Bush. "Though high-end, the recommendation was within the federal sentencing guidelines, which means that it was presumptively reasonable."

Federal prosecutors come up with sentence recommendations using a combination of mathematical calculations and aggravating factors, called "enhancements," that are detailed in a 600-page manual.

Here's the link to the manual.

Unlike trump supporters, federal prosecutors and judges don't pull things out of their ass.

Or asking Schiff and Pelosi to show you how to take down Trump.

Back already? you've been here a few months. Tell us-what fascist traits does Trump have that are not shared by whatever member of the Star Wars Bar scene that you support for President

You replied to my post. Irrelevantly, I might add. Now you're telling me what you don't need from me? Are you the person who calls people and greets them with "Who's this?" I always say, "You called me. Who the **** were you calling?" Lol. I love messin with y'all like that.

trolling seems to be a popular pastime among the Trump hate crowd. But Still, you howled that Trump is a fascist. What evidence do you have of that

Down to mockery I see. You are a horrible student. F.

What we are seeing is that you made a claim about Trump, and when challenged to support it, you ran from your claim.

The first reply of yours to my post, was trollbait. As has been every reply since. Again, If ya gonna play ya gotta pay.

You must be enjoying this or you'd have stopped by now.

I made no claim about Trump. That was you who did that. I merely demolished your simplistic argument.

No you did not, like everything else you have posted-you make a claim and then pretend it is true.

Roger Stone sentencing: Trump attacks DOJ prosecutors

Here's the link to the manual.

Unlike trump supporters, federal prosecutors and judges don't pull things out of their ass.

None are saying they didn't use the federal sentencing guideline, however many of us are saying that they used it wrongly by including enhancements that were not warranted.

Roger Stone provided a few inconsequential falsehoods over an inconsequential event without committing or being a part of an underlying offense. He also acted out in a puerile manner with a 20 year liberal friend, who has said he didn't take Stone seriously.

That is barely worth charging, let alone the absurd notion that it earned 7 to 9 years in prison.

Everything other than my first few replies, which were made in good faith, has been mocking your attempts at trolling. So, I don't know what you're talking about. I made no claim. If you want to show I did, have at it. Otherwise, I'll continue to take your bait, tie your line around a rock, and reel your ass out here, where you don't belong.

Just good fun, dude. Smile.

Except a jury convicted him. That's the issue at hand here. To me, seven felonies is in no way inconsequential. That people don't always take threats seriously does not make it any less egregious. The guidelines were by the book. Everyone involved is a professional. They did their jobs.

Remember what Barr said about Trump's tweets? How do you think our justice dept can operate if its work is undermined and overruled by Barr and Trump?

You have a right to your opinion regarding the consequentiality of Stone's offenses, however the 4 prosecutors who resigned in protest disagree with you as well as the over 1,000 former DoJ officials calling for Barr's resignation. I will defer to their opinion over yours.

From what I understand this is a false claim. Reading the actual court transcripts doesn't support juror misconduct.

I understand. You have an opinion. Demcocrats have opinions. Republicans have opinions. Judges have opinions. Hopefully, if jury misconduct was a factor in this trial then the verdict will not be allowed to stand.

Jury misconduct was keenly focused on in historical cases where blacks were found guilty and hung by a jury of whites with serious biases against blacks.

Blindly believing what power tells you is a huge mistake, surely history has taught you better than this.

It's not power telling me what to do. It's legal precedent - you know the standard upon which our jurisprudence is based and the opinion of legal scholars that are much more experienced and much smarter than you.

Your posts contain some of the most ridiculous statements I've ever seen. I really wish you'd not respond to my posts any longer you must know you have zero credibility with me.

I understand the concept, I just don't see it in this case. A couple tweets by one juror, even the forewoman, doesn't say much of anything. Show me a photo of all 12 jurors wearing "Stone Sucks" t-shirts at a baby Trump parade, and you'll be on to something.

On the other hand, if Stone's team can show misconduct, by anybody, then he should be awarded a new trial.

With the speed at which America and in fact all of the West is failing "This is what we do" is not an argument at all. What we have long done is in fact likely to be a mistake in need of fixing. Believing what your betters tell you is certainly a bad idea....you must verify.

I'd like to send your post to the Putin-Trump Rowers.

After all you never criticize them or issue any demands of them. You only criticize the critics of Putin-Trump & Rowers.

Yet Putin-Trump Power Rowers argue for Trump 100% percent of the time in 100% percent of everything. So while sending your post to 'em all would be a shock to 'em, ie, you criticizing them, it might be a small step toward some measure of even handedness. The Golden Mean kind of thingy.

Saywot do you.

P.S. Sorry to see you were feeling ill yet again...hope you are healthy again soon.
