Some of us have thought that notification was coming out sooner. Don't know if the Administration tried to throw a wrench in the works. It will be interesting to read responses - not just here on DP but around the internets.

FBI raises neo-Nazi threat level to same as Isis

America's greatest domestic terror threat stems from racially and ethnically motivated extremists, following a record high in hate-motivated attacks and the rise of neo-Nazi and white supremacist violence now formally recognised by the FBI as significant a threat to the US as terror groups abroad.

FBI Director Christopher Wray told the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday that the threat of far-right domestic violent extremism has risen to a "national threat priority" for 2020, posing a "steady threat of violence and economic harm" to the US while its underlying drivers — including "perceptions of government or law enforcement overreach, socio-political conditions, racism, anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, and reactions to legislative actions" — persist.

Mr Wray said the FBI is "most concerned about lone offender attacks", which have "served as the dominant lethal mode" for domestic terror incidents.

Been saying this for years because I can read the data.

Trump just goes off his feelings. And he feels like Muslims are bad and scary. Wouldn't be surprised if he fired the FBI director because he contradicted his feelings.

This has been known for years and is just getting worse.

Our number one terrorist threat is not from brown immigrants but from homegrown, far-right fanatics.

It’s irrelevant though, we have no obligation to take in subversives from overseas. (Also what’s a “brown immigrant”? Most muslims are black or Arabs and Arabs are white). Also muslims have killed many more people in the 21st century in terror attacked then white nationalists. Also it’s not controversial to arrest white terror plotters whereas it seems the left has a full court press apology tour defending every Islamic terrorist there is. They don’t even want to say the words “Islamic terror” and they become full on Islamic scholars declaring Islam has nothing to do with terrorism after every attack.

How is a terrorist threat from far right extremists 'irrelevant?' To what? Should law enforcement not pay attention? And you're just lying when you claim "the left" (no names, because it's a BS claim) defends "every Islamic terrorist there is."

No. The problem with white supremacists is not that the left acknowledge and condemn their actions. Acknowledging and condemning and combating hate is not the problem with racism.

The problem with white supremacists is their beliefs and actions. And the reason they get away with is because they currently hold the oval office.

So liberals created someone like Patrick Crusius and made him shoot 22 people dead and injure dozens? If they didn't whine about white supremacists, he would not have gone into a Walmart and unloaded on innocent people?
