[h=1]Trump rages on impeachment, holds up newspapers reading 'ACQUITTED' at National Prayer Breakfast[/h]'''Dishonest and corrupt''': Trump unloads at National Prayer Breakfast after acquittal

President Donald Trump blasted "dishonest and corrupt" people Thursday morning at the National Prayer Breakfast, bashing his impeachment before the nonpartisan event with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi just steps away.
"As everybody knows, my family, our great country, and your president have been put through a terrible ordeal by some very dishonest and corrupt people," Trump said. "They have done everything possible to destroy us and by so doing, very badly hurt our nation. They know what they are doing is wrong, but they put themselves far ahead of our great country."

Entering the stage, Trump lifted up a copies of USA Today and The Washington Post with headlines reading "ACQUITTED" and "Trump Acquitted" splashed across the front pages, displaying them to the corwd.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For anyone who believes that Trump is the 'chosen one sent by God' just look at this overall picture. Trump is speaking at a prayer breakfast while blasting someone like Mitt Romney. Like Nancy Pelosi, Mitt Romney is a person of deep faith. Donald Trump may be transaction with people of faith such as those at the prayer breakfast, but he is not a man of any religious faith. Trump doesn't show any indication that he even recognizes abstract principles like the difference between right or wrong, morality or religious values.

In his remarks at the national prayer breakfast where he talked about the stock market and poll number, he went after Pelosi and Romney in a very vindictive way. Don Jr is even more viciously attacking Mitt Romney calling him a ***** and portraying him as dishonest and shady. Trump called Mitt Romney 'sanctimonious'. The reason Donald Trump believes people are merely being sanctimonious is because those moral considerations that help them form their decisions are something that he just doesn't understand.

I'll have more about the 'national prayer breakfast' another time. It's not what you believe it is.

Re: National Prayer Breakfast: Trump rages on impeachment,

Nothing says saying your prayers like attacking your enemies. Jesus would be proud.

Jesus said:
“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Okay, maybe they worship another Jesus......

That's how despicable Trump rolls. At his first Prayer Breakfast in 2017, he spent it bragging about his ratings on The Apprentice and insulting Arnold. What is astounding is that Trump has stronger support from White Evangelicals than any president ever. Think about that. Trump, an utterly despicable human being in every aspect, a man that conducts himself on a daily basis as the most unChristian man ever to sit in the White House, a pathological liar, serial adulterer, a man that joked about trying to get Marla Maples to abort Tiffany Trump.... That man has stronger support among White Evangelicals than even Reagan and Bush did - men that regardless of what you think of their policies, were good people and devoutly Christian.

Trump is like a gift to Atheism. Nothing drives people away from religion like hypocrisy and the White Evangelical's fervent support of a man like Trump is exactly why church attendance for young people has dropped like a rock ever since 2016. They have shown the entire world how they are nothing but a bunch of power hungry hypocrites.

How appropriate for the fake Christian representative of the "Party of Values" to commandeer the National Prayer Breakfast to act the exact opposite of what the Bible teaches.

Let me guess. The morons in the audience were cheering on his non-Christian behavior.

Don Junior, that slob, called Romney a "*****". This is what the Republican Party has lowered itself to. Can you imagine if Chelsea Clinton had ever done that? The Trump Panty Sniffers would be howling like scorched cats. Disgusting, vile, hypocritical idiots. They deserve Trump and his trailer trash spawn. The rest of us don't.

I saw nothing about raging and blasting; Trump's voice was calm when he called out the fake "believers".

Re: National Prayer Breakfast: Trump rages on impeachment,

I listened to Elizabeth Warren last night on Lawrence O'Donnell. I have heard Elizabeth Warren many times, at rallies, at debates and in town halls. I always knew she was intelligent and has a solid moral compass and a desire to do the right thing. But last night, for some reason, maybe it was the softness in her voice, maybe it was the quiet around her -- whatever it was, her words affected me. She wasn't 'politicking', she was being introspective. It told me more about who Elizabeth Warren is as a person, not just a presidential candidate.

I'll try my best to recall and reconstruct what she said. She said that her desk in the Senate is the same desk that John F. Kennedy and Ted Kennedy sat at in the Senate chamber. She said that during times of important senate decisions, she reaches in the drawer of that desk where these men have carved their names inside that desk draw and where other Senators have also carved their names. She said she runs her thumb along the name of then-senator John F. Kennedy and it reminds her "we're here for a time, but we're part of a long history". She said that during the impeachment vote, all but one republican senator locked arms and protected this lawless president but "at the end of the day it will be history that judges this lawless president", and she can hold her head up forever on that vote.

"In the end, in the kind of democracy we have, it's about having people represent you that you trust. And even if you don't agree with every decision, you trust that they're doing it out of a sense of decency and honesty, that they're not just in Washington playing politics".

I think that last line said it all. This country needs to elect a president that we trust to be decent and honest.

I love how the left lionizes Romney today. The same left that thinks religion is stupid and Mormanism is doubleplus stupid. The same Romney they condemned as a heartless bully, as Mr. Burns back in 2012 is now a person of deep faith and morality. Sayanythingism.

Re: National Prayer Breakfast: Trump rages on impeachment,

He is, by being a fake Christians along with other fake Christians on the right. The religious right has NOTHING they can say now about ANYONE'S morals after their support of Trump without looking like the hypocrites they all are.

Re: National Prayer Breakfast: Trump rages on impeachment,

I love how the right criticizes Romney after he stood up to Trump. The same right that proudly holds up religion even though the person they support (Trump) is anything but moral. The right has proven they are liars and hypocrites when they say they care about morals and religious values.

Re: National Prayer Breakfast: Trump rages on impeachment,

Another fit by the left. So let's see, the Obama administration spied on his campaign, withheld information to get FISA warrants, fabricated some crazy Russia story, then, when all that didn't work, they abused the Constitution to try and impeach him. As the truth came out, he was proven innocent on every front. Now, he calls them out, and the left is so upset! Ironically, you've helped his reelection chances immensely. Can't wait to see what's next on the attack list.

100% agree. I just cannot figure out why more people don't understand that.

I don't criticize Romney even though I think he's wrong. He voted his conscience. I also voted for him in 2012.

Move on dot org.

There's a sick portion or Christians that believe jahweh uses "imperfect vessels" to do his work. King David is an example they use.

They believe that men only achieve power because god wants them to have it, and it is their duty to shield them from the consequences of their worldly actions so that jahweh's work can get done.

Pretty sick solipsism, but there it is.

Why would any truly "religious" group of people invite President 'Access Hollywood' to any prayer function?

Re: National Prayer Breakfast: Trump rages on impeachment,

Just remember, it's against someone's religion to bake a cake for a gay wedding, but it's perfectly moral to support a serial liar, immoral, and three-time cheater of his wife president like Trump. :lamo

Yep. Let him do his thing.

Hopefully be is totally emboldened and feels untouchable.

I'm quite sure there are independents who are about over his nonsense.

Let the boy have his head.

He should do our work for us.
