Emails Show Government Officials Freaked Out Over Trump's Doctored Hurricane Map

No...they work for the executive branch and the president is the overall boss of the executive branch. That means they work for him.

It's not their job to say ANYTHING about the president. Anything they have to say is nothing but their opinion...and their opinion doesn't matter. Only the work they do matters.

Sounds like you enjoy being controlled. I'll keep my freedom, thank you. Trump works for us. I don't need a boss for president. Why do you?

Nobody is being "controlled".

If those government employees have a problem with following orders...if they have heartburn when the President makes decisions and does things...they are free to do the right thing and leave.

I was talking about your attitude. Do you say "he's the boss" for all presidents, or do you say "he works for us" for some?

I say "he works for us" for all presidents. Like I said, I'll keep my freedom.

Every president is the boss of the executive branch. It's in the Constitution, you know.

Yes, I know.

You didn't answer my question.

Have you ever said, "he works for us" for any president? Obama/Bush/Clinton?

The reason I ask is because we're not talking about refusing to hang Trump's picture. Hurricane forecasts are owned by us. Paid for by us. Public safety. They don't belong to Trump. He can't alter them. He did. People rightly spoke up.

Forgive me, but "he's the boss" does not apply here. "He works for us" does.

(yeah, yeah, dept. head and all that. i addressed that)

That's nothing. Last night Trump congratulated the Chiefs' win in the Super Bowl, describing them as from Kansas.

Truth is stranger than fiction. Our stable genius is always good for a laugh, but he's going to make America great again, or as his new campaign slogan has it, Keep America Great.

:doh

Sweet Jesus...

You can’t have it both ways. If Trump is the unquestionable “boss” who can do anything he wants, it doesn’t matter whether it was trivial. Even if it was deadly serious, you’d still be saying that Trump was right because your position is that Trump can’t be wrong by definition. It being a trivial issue would only matter if there was any level of seriousness at which you’d accept Trumps actions being questioned or challenged.

Who ever claimed he was the "unquestionable boss". That's just a idiotic LW (sorry for the redundancy) urban legend.

Some of us think a POTUS altering weather reports and lying to the public about it is far beyond trivial. Hell, some of think just lying to the public is beyond trivial.

Sad that you think Trump is god
He DIDN'T alter a weather report - he drew a line on a briefing board.

You have a short memory;
Rule 1: Trump is the boss.
Rule 2: When in doubt see rule #1.
Incidentally, don't insult me with your political hate labels. I'm not "left wing" (or "right wing"), I'm a normal person.

No, Trump does not get to determine "the job of the National Weather Service is to pretend I'm correct."

That you have to explain that...

Woah woah woah woah.. you mean that the sharpie map was *doctored*? I am shocked, just shocked to find this out.

He DIDN'T alter a weather report - he drew a line on a briefing board.

It was a National Weather Service official forecast publication. Printed out. He drew on it. Good lord, this is a pathetic new low. Just admit he was wrong to do it and move in, it’s not that hard. It doesn’t make you a Democrat, I swear.

Free hand. That's gall. There's not an antique compass somewhere?

Semantics. Trump told the American public that Alabama would be hit with a hurricane. That's a report. What he drew on a map was just a lie.

Great equivalency. You nailed it.
