Picketers confront students at Muslim Day event at Kentucky Capitol

Their delivery. Who in the world would be screaming at the children and harassing them? Would you do that?

I agree their delivery sucked, but I agree with their message. Unless you're going to harass me now, because I don't agree with/believe in Islam and believe it's a false religion. If you do, you'll prove my point better that Nota did.

Nota didn't prove that. Anyway, you and I agree that Islam is a false religion. And I think the mainstream Christianity is also a false religion.

Defending the normal Muslims is not the same thing as defending Islam. I defend Christians all the time.

Well, there ya go: right message, wrong venue and a ****ty delivery. See? We can find common ground when you aren't on the attack.

Exactly. Just don't understand why you accuse us of defending Islam.

Everyone has the right to protest. Pro-Christian. Anti-Christian. Pro-Islam. Anti-Islam.

Ask anyone here if they want to see Islam disappear overnight, I guarantee you all the answers will be yes.

Christians don't believe in Islam like Muslims don't believe in Christianity. Nothing really wrong with that, unless you think every religion should believe in every other religion.

What do you mean when you write "Christians don't believe in Islam like Muslims don't believe in Christianity"? Are you talking theology or something else? The Amish and Mennonites don't believe in Catholicism? Are both groups Christian when they have opposing religious beliefs? Do Presbyterians believe in Judaism?

You all have made your hatred of Christians quite clear.

Being disgusted with the intellectual, moral, and ethical hypocrisy of someone who perverts the actual teachings of Yeshua bar Yosef bin Nazaret (under the guise of "following the teachings of Yeshua bar Yosef bin Nazaret but actually for their own personal ends) and "hating Christians" are NOT the same thing.

On the other hand, supporting those who actually follow the teachings of Muḥammad ibn ʿAbdullāh and supporting the Muḥammad ibn ʿAbdullāh intellectually, morally, and ethically disgusting actions of someone who perverts the actual teachings of Muḥammad ibn ʿAbdullāh (under the guise of "following the teachings of Muḥammad ibn ʿAbdullāh but actually for their own personal ends) are also NOT the same thing.

Or is that distinction too subtle for the Internet?

I'm stating an honest fact: Christians don't believe in Islam. Muslims don't believe in Christianity.

What's so hard about that? Must be my Southern English. I'll cut you some slack if that's the case.

You're still lying?

I thought that the question

Do you approve of their behavior or not?

A simple yes or no will suffice.

was a pretty fair one.

I noticed that you didn't say that you DO NOT support them. In fact, I noticed that you totally ignored the question.

And yet both are Abrahamic religions.

Yep and the Muslims got it all wrong.

Actually partially right. For example, Christians and Muslims believe that Jesus was a prophet/messenger. They just disagree on his God status. The Jews don't believe in Jesus.

Islam is a false religion. Their delivery sucked, but their message is correct.

Using (what appears to be) your standard, then so is EVERY religion OTHER THAN the specific brand of "Christianity" that you subscribe to.

That means (assuming that 100% of all Americans are Evangelicals and belong to the same sect as you do) that around 95.4% of the world's population belongs to a "false religion". However only around 25% of all Americans are Evangelicals so that means that around 98.8% of the world's population belongs to a "false religion".

Since you can generally get around 10% approval for any cockamamie proposition, that means that "God" is not even as effective in persuading people to believe in "Him" the way "He" tells them to as random chance, in fact it shows that "God" is only about 3/25ths as effective as random chance.

Local news:

FRANKFORT
Children from Islamic schools in Kentucky were heckled by three men outside the Kentucky Capitol Wednesday as they boarded a bus after attending the inaugural Kentucky Muslim Day at the Capitol. Access Denied

From a Michigan Fox afflilate:

The man filming the incident urged the group to stop "harassing the children."

Even though the demonstration happened outside, it did get the attention of people inside the Capitol. State Rep. David Hale (R-Menifee, Montgomery, Powell), who is also a pastor, reportedly rebuked the protesters, saying he would "die for their right to worship the god that they so choose."

When asked, some of the Muslim visitors said the protesters didn't bother them, and they "wish peace upon them." Islamophobic picketers confront Muslim children during visit to Kentucky state capitol, video shows

That's good because the right likes to portray all Muslims as violent terrorist..

Christianity is the only true religion. You're correct in your interpretation.

"Christians" do not believe that Muḥammad ibn ʿAbdullāh was a prophet and do believe that Yeshua bar Yosef bin Nazaret was, in fact, "God".

"Muslims do not believe that either Muḥammad ibn ʿAbdullāh or Yeshua bar Yosef bin Nazaret were "God" but do believe that both were prophets sent by the same "God".

Therein lies the essential difference between Islam and Christianity, almost all of the rest of the differences are simply doctrinal trappings tacked on in order to make the product more saleable.

No, Christians believe Jesus is God. Muslims believe he was a mortal human who was only a prophet.

They don't believe in an eternal hell. They also believe in the 72 virgins thing.

Jews do believe Jesus lived, just that he wasn't the Savior. In the End Times, all Jews will accept Christ as their Savior.

Christianity is the only true religion. You're correct in your interpretation.

I bet you have studied every religion on the planet that humans have created to acquire that hopeful knowledge. Yet True religion is an uncountable noun and a clothing brand.

That is how the Christian's see it yet the Jews never have and never will their messiah is for the Jews only and it always has been.

You should read the entire thread.

I have, and your responses so have have NOT contained EITHER

I DO support them.

nor

I DO NOT support them.

Your responses have, however, contained an immense amount of waffling around the point.

Now, possibly the question was too vaguely stated for you, so let me rephrase it.

Do you:

  1. ___ support the actions of the adult males who professed to be Christians when they were harassing school children regardless of the professed reasons for that harassment;
    *
  2. ___ NOT support the actions of the adult males who professed to be Christians when they were harassing school children regardless of the reasons for that harassment;
    *
    or
  3. ___ NOT want to state a clear position because yu really don't care if adult males who profess to be Christians do anything that they feel like doing to anyone whom the think is a Muslim and saying that will make you look like a real jerk.

Please PICK ONE ONLY

Is that easier for you now?

It isn't quite that simple.

If it ain't in here...

I give this the benefit of the doubt...

Well, you obviously didn't read the thread because I clearly stated at lesst twice that I agree with their message, but disagree with their delivery and the venue they chose.

Whatever you do, DO NOT JOIN that cult. Or else we'll lose you forever.

My wife is a Mormon, so I kinda sorta got one foot in the door...lol

Have you read The Book of Mormon?
