Picketers confront students at Muslim Day event at Kentucky Capitol

FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — A video shared on Facebook is gaining attention and controversy. It shows a group of men shouting at Muslim school children outside of the State Capitol. The men are holding picket signs and saying the children follow a false religion.

Hundreds of Muslims were in Frankfort Wednesday for the annual Muslim Day at the Capitol. The event’s goal is to encourage people to get to know their lawmakers and voice their opinions on important topics.

The video captured other, louder voices though. The Council on American-Islamic Relations posted the three-minute clip to the national social media pages with the hashtag #IslamophobiaWatch.
The group of men had several signs, including one calling the prophet Muhammad a liar, murderer and child molesting pervert.

I bet everyone who harassed these kids voted for Obama and supports liberalism. You know, cause Kentucky is known as a progressive left wing haven.

One of the placards caught my eye:

"JESUS SAVES FROM HELL"

I didn't think Jesus would choose Hell as a place from which to perform his salvations.

What I see in the video is three guys, and there's a camera guy, so four people altogether? Hateful, ugly, obnoxious jerks, yes, but do they even count as "some"?

Children from Islamic schools in Kentucky were heckled by three men outside the Kentucky Capitol Wednesday as they boarded a bus after attending the inaugural Kentucky Muslim Day at the Capitol. Access Denied

From a Michigan Fox afflilate:

The man filming the incident urged the group to stop "harassing the children."

Even though the demonstration happened outside, it did get the attention of people inside the Capitol. State Rep. David Hale (R-Menifee, Montgomery, Powell), who is also a pastor, reportedly rebuked the protesters, saying he would "die for their right to worship the god that they so choose."

Grown men should know better than to yell at little kids.
 
Say what you will shouting at children isn't nearly as bad as blowing yourself up next to them. Allahu akbar kabooom!!!

I agree with what the previous poster said. The majority of American Christians voted for and support a man who campaigned on banning Muslims and a registry. Being a Trump supporter and supporting his policies, family separation, the border camp, and everything else is not Christlike. It is the majority of Christians.

Yeah ... falls into the same category as "Black Hebrew Israelites Taunting White Christian Students for Over an Hour" ... except, the media never run an article like that.

These children blew themselves up, killing civilians? Do you feel personally responsible for all of the crimes committed by people who share your race and religion?

There is no “hypocrisy” involved. These are bigots who are justifying their bigotry with religion— specifically Christianity.

The point of the thread is that bigots were harassing Muslims. The reason why the bigots were harassing the Muslims was because of religion—- specifically, the bigots’ interpretation of Christianity. Criticizing these bigots does not mean one “hates Christians” any more than criticizing the Westboro Baptist Church does.

Arguing with someone at a political event is not “harassment” per se, and that is the usual standard which is brought up to defend the claim of “OMG Christians are so persecuted”.

Then, of course, one has numerous cases of Christians claiming “persecution” because others have a different opinion from them or dared to do something Christians didn’t like—- for example, being LGBT and getting married.

In short, delusions of persecution does not justify harassment
