Rinaldo Nazzaro, 46, who uses the aliases "Norman Spear" and "Roman Wolf", left New York for St Petersburg less than two years ago.

The Base is a major counter terrorism focus for the FBI.

Seven alleged members were charged this month with various offences, including conspiracy to commit murder.

Court documents prepared by the FBI describe The Base as a "racially motivated violent extremist group" that "seeks to accelerate the downfall of the United States government, incite a race war, and establish a white ethno-state"."

joko seems like a stand-up guy.
He reminds me of one of my very best friends.

But, joko believes some things for which I have seen scant evidence.
These things seem to be strawmen someone else formed and stuffed.
 
The more things change, the more they stay the same. The Neo-Nazi movement was strong in the 80's though they didn't have the modern tools that we do today to organize. They relied on flyers, zines and forming hardcore bands to network. Today they have the internet, so it's way easier. for them. On the upside, the internet makes the job of law enforcement much easier to monitor them.

To be fair, Trump never said that Nazis were fine people. He said there were good people on both sides.

The issue is we all know the good people on of those sides just happen to be next to Nazis.

The report, “State of Black America,” was released by the National Urban League, a civil rights organization based in New York. It underlined the Russian interference in particular but said that black voting rights were under attack from a wide range of actors, including domestic politicians.

In about two dozen states, voting restrictions have gotten worse since 2010 because of changes including new voter identification laws and decisions to limit locations where voters can cast ballots, the report said.

The report’s findings on the Russian interference drew from academic research and federal investigations to highlight the huge campaign run by a St. Petersburg company called the Internet Research Agency, which deployed thousands of accounts on Facebook, Twitter and other platforms.

One such account on Twitter, called @WokeLuisa, garnered more than 50,000 followers, and its posts were highlighted by dozens of prominent news outlets, the report said.

The account sought to explicitly and implicitly discourage black voters from going to the polls in an effort to secure Republican victory, even as other Russian-backed efforts bolstered white extremism online, said Marc H. Morial, the president of the National Urban League.
