Mmmkay. So when Schiff said, "the United States aids Ukraine and her people so that we can fight Russia over there, and we don't have to fight Russia here," what he meant was that if we don't give money to Ukraine, we'll have to fight Russia here through cyber wars? Yet.....you just said we have already fighting Russia in cyber wars for years now.....
I don't know why people are so hell-bent on refusing to say that someone on their side said something really stupid.
What???
Putin’s agenda is to re establish the outlines of the old Soviet Union (or Russian Empire) within a Russian sphere of influence.
He also wants to undermine the influence and power of the United States to counter his own ambitions and to weaken the EU and NATO, which stand against his expansionist agenda.
Trump is tailor made for both roles. Everything he has done as President serves Putin’s agenda.
The Russians launched their disinformation campaign in late 2011, against domestic targets. By 2013, Russian trolls were posting on American conservative social media sites, often with direct Russians propoganda pieces. Right wingers on forums like this one repeated it and spread it around. They did the Russian’s work for them on FB, liking and sharing (and in the process, expanding the growing catalog of contacts and demographic informations for the Russians to mine)
Meanwhile, the Russians invaded Ukraine.
So, the United States and Ukraine have both been at war with the Russians for some time. But on different fronts.
Right now, the Russians appear to be stuck in Ukraine in the Dombass region. This may be because the Russians aren’t up to mounting a total invasion. Or, they may be waiting for the moment they estimate that the United States is weakest and unable to lead NATO and the European Union through the crisis that would follow.
Does anyone actually believe that Donald Trump would stand up to Vladimir Putin??? Seriously?
Trump has delivered on Putin’s agenda almost perfectly. His one failure, the inability to remove sanctions, was down to his own bumbling arrogance, and that of Mike Flynn.
