Minnesota TSA agent snapped Native American woman's braids, said 'giddyup!'

"Going through @TSA at @mspairport, the agent said she needed to pat down my braids. She pulled them behind my shoulders, laughed & said 'giddyup!' as she snapped my braids like reins," Tara Houska wrote on Twitter on Monday.

"When I informed the middle-aged blonde woman who had casually used her authority to dehumanize and disrespect me, she said 'Well it was just in fun, Iím sorry. Your hair is lovely.' <ó that is NOT an apology and it is NOT okay, Houska added. "My hair is part of my spirit. I am a Native woman. I am angry, humiliated. Your 'fun' hurt."
Doing something like this is wrong because it's wrong.

But this article would have you believe it's extra wrong when done to a brown person - because: magic hair.

    Good grief.

I know the voices aren't real but they do have some good ideas.

You are able to read? I would assume? She was a native American, not a "brown person" and her beads and clothing is as much part of their faith/spirituality as Jewish people with a yarmulke. How would you feel if a yarmulke had been ripped of someone's head by a TSA officers and thrown about like a frisbee, that person would also have complained about how it is extra wrong compared to someone's MAGA hat.

All you show is that you do not have a very good understanding about issues respecting people's religious expressions when it comes to clothing. Especially when it is about Native Americans.
The man with the best words said Stankchuary during the SOTU, it is more that he makes up the stupidest words.

Ripping clothing off people is wrong. Playing horsie with their body parts is also wrong.

It's on you - and the controversy-chasing bimbo from the article - to demonstrate why assaulting some people is worse than assaulting other people because they personally ascribe mystic sky-daddy attributes to something.

    Very well said.
Supporting Trump, but claiming you are against racism...is like eating a Banana Split every day, but claiming you are against ice cream.

I'll do you one better: Picture a female Muslim TSA officer wearing a head covering being the instigator....

But this article would have you believe it's extra wrong when done to a Christian person - because: magic cross.
