Roberts sworn in to preside over Trump impeachment trial

That's because the Senate is apportioned to providing an impartial "trial". The House however, simply acts as the conduit (representative) of the People.

So in essence,

"The People complain, and the States (Senate) looks into it and decides (if removal is warranted)."

You don't care because you think Republicans should be able to do anything with impunity. You don't believe in accountability, honesty, integrity or anything similar. You simply want to see all Dems convicted of every rumor and Repbulicans exonerated for every crime regardless of evidence. You honestly don't need to reply. When I need to know your opinion I can just open up Trump's twitter feed.

We all saw the "evidence" produced by the Democrats. It sucks so bad they are now trying other gimmicks.

This is a wonderful example of a Democrat going so far off course if the poster was the Titanic, it hit the iceberg and is sinking.

Why? Too much trash talk about other posters.

Simple truth. Democrats failed to make a case in their house. And shuffled to the Senate to dump the mess on them. As if the job of the Senate is to do what Democrats failed to do.

When you look back on this, only Democrats agree with your view. And later after acquittal happens, you will moan it was not just. But the system will work again to give Trump justice. And it will catapult him back to the presidency

This reminds me of the indictment of Senator Menendez. We knew he was guilty but the court did not convict him. In this case, Trump is not guilty.
 
Notice that no Democrat poster is alleging Trump may be innocent, All find him guilty despite the evidence.

To keep it simple you tell me which has more integrity.

1. A person wants to hear the evidence then make a choice.
2. A person doesn't want to hear evidence and has already decided.

You, and most republicans on the senate are clearly in scenario 2. You don't care what the evidence is. No amount of evidence will be good enough. Trump is the leader of the white power movement and has an R by his name therefore he cannot be guilty. Your logic if broken. You and those like you are what is wrong with politics. You are why politicians get away with so much. You are the reason for the corruption.

Conduit of the people is a bunch of partisan BS. You go ahead with a sham impeachment then you're going to get a sham trial and you shouldn't be upset about it.
