Pelosi gloats: Trump has been impeached ‘forever’

I hope Nancy Pelosi wasn't wearing the wrong shoes. I know that when Bill Clinton was getting impeached, all that was going through my mind was, "I sure hope Newt Gingrich is wearing the latest fashions." And when I learned that he was wearing brown loafers...in winter...I just about died.

Pelosi gloats: Trump has been impeached ‘forever’ | Fox News

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi needled President Trump on Wednesday as she prepared to send articles of impeachment over to the Senate, repeatedly describing the indictment by the House as a permanent stain on his “He’s been impeached forever. They can never erase that,” Pelosi said at a press conference announcing her impeachment managers, who will prosecute the case.legacy -- no matter what happens next.

While Trump is likely to be acquitted in the GOP-led Senate, Pelosi argued that the 45th president of the United States will forever be marred with an asterisk in history.

The Democratic-led House passed the articles of impeachment on Dec. 18 for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, making him just the third president in history to face such a rebuke from the House.

==============================================================

Pelosi will have an asterisk behind her name for overseeing a partisan sham of an impeachment that was done with no bipartisan votes for impeachment. This impeachment is nothing more than a thinly vailed attempt to sway the 2020 election. It won't work however. The American people who have not been effected by TDS see through the sham of an impeachment. That is why polls changed in Trump's favor much to the Dems surprise. The Dem does not have a current candidate that can be beat Trump in 2020. This impeachment just means the Dems had more seats in the house that the Republicans do and nothing more. That is likely to change in 2020.
I'm guessing that Trump doesn't give a **** that Nan finally decided to deliver the Articles. I'm betting he'll use impeachment as a campaign topic.

You seem to guess a lot and you're wrong. Judging by his tweets that last few days his panties are in a serious twist.

Kinda like "you guys" are by starting a gazillion threads on this topic?

At least Pelosi* didn't wear black today to show sham remorse for her sham impeachment.

Someone said today there will be an asterisk next to Pelosi's name in our history books for this sham that has occurred. And she is receiving blowback over the celebratory atmosphere as she signed the impeachment articles.

But what bothered me more than anything was that dang speech she gave on the floor of the House. It was a FUBAR moment. She rattled on about upholding the Constitution when she herself has engaged in an exercise these past months that trampled it. Pelosi has now taken the #1 clown award from Shifty Schiff and now owns that title.

Pelosi and the managers she chose today are the poster children for why lawmakers should be required to pass a test on the Constitution and prove they have an understanding of Constitutional Law before qualifying to hold that position.

Jonathon had a piece today that raked Pelosi through the coals.

The President of the United States is getting impeached and all you can think about is what Nancy Pelosi is wearing. That and starting another investigation into Hillary Clinton, I'm sure. Maybe you guys should just go back to the kid's table, because you're clearly unable to handle important topics.

You have me confused with someone else. You're responding to my first post in this thread. :3oops:

But your kids' table remark is very mature and a real zinger too!

I would think that if the impeachment was going to be such a black eye for Dem's, Republicans would want as much media coverage as possible. But it seems like just the opposite is true:

The Republican-controlled Senate will subject the press to unprecedented restrictions during President Donald Trump's Senate impeachment trial, which is set to begin next week.
Citing security concerns, the Senate will force credentialed reporters to remain inside a single press pen and won't allow them to walk up to and interview senators in the hallways, as is custom.

In fact, the media restrictions will be tighter than the State of the Union or Clinton's impeachment.

Now, why would that be?

Certainly not. After all, impeachment was urgent.

Hey Nota, what we all really want to hear from you about is the gravitas of people's fashion accessories. Do you think Mitch McConnell's tie reflects the seriousness of removing a United States President from office for high crimes and misdemeanors? You don't need to go into impeachment itself, mind you. We don't expect that kind of high level political analysis from you. Just stick to your lane.

So whaddya think? Serious tie or unserious tie?

I'm talking about during the campaign season.

Lev Parnas tonight: "The president knew exactly what was going on" [with respect to asking Ukraine to dig up dirt on Biden].
[...]

Addition:
"It was never about 'corruption.' It was strictly about Burisma, which included Hunter Biden, Joe Biden."

Rudi Giuliani would routinely represent that Parnas was there to speak on behalf of the President of the U.S.

Did McConnell ever declare how very, very serious it all is, wear black, and shush his colleagues when they tried to cheer?

Or does he consider it a joke?

Pelosi* allowed this thing to happen, probably against her better judgment, then allowed it to turn into a ridiculous sham followed by four weeks of sitting on her thumb waiting for concessions that would never come to essentially have McConnell do her work for her.

What's she smiling about???

Lev Parnas has just spilled his guts on live television about a massive conspiracy involving the President, the Attorney General, the Vice President, the Secretary of State, Trump's personal attorney and a corrupt Ukrainian ex-prosecutor to surveil and harass a United States ambassador at the request of the ex-prosecutor because she was too good at her job, and all to investigate Trump's political rival so he could win the 2020 election.

Well you know what that means, kids. Nota Bene's gonna want to know if Adam Schiff is wearing pants that adequately reflect the gravitas of the situation!

Given what we know of the House "investigation" - this probably better suits the occaision, don't you think?

I'm old enough to remember when Pelosi insisted the whole occasion was serious and somber and no laughing matter, fit for wearing black and all. A very, very sad day for our country.

The giddy festivities today with Pelosi in bright pink didn't quite seem to carry that mood.

Maxine Waters was holding up that pen like it was a Super bowl trophy.

It's way better than that. Congratulations, Democrats, for doing your part to protect our democracy.

Agree. No somber tone today. She was actually giggling during the ceremony. She tried to remain serious but it was clear to me that she was faking it just like she faked being sad and disappointed when announcing the debate on the impeachment of the President Trump.

Today, Nancy, dressed in a jubilant bazooka pink, celebrated. The somberness was gone, the sadness was not visible.
She could have waited to hand out the gold pens to her drooling foot soldiers away from the cameras.
What the hell was that about if not a celebration of their sham trial?
Just shows what a liar she is.

I bet she worried the whole Christmas holiday about how Trump could destroy the country at any second. That's probably why she didn't go on Christmas vacation...oh wait!
