Russian and US warships almost collide in Arabian Sea

The US Navy said a Russian navy ship "aggressively approached" its destroyer in the Arabian Sea on Thursday while it was conducting routine operations.

The USS Farragut gave five warning blasts on its horn before the Russian warship changed course, avoiding collision.

The Russian Defence ministry has denied any wrongdoing, stating it was the US Navy that was "grossly in violation of international rules".

"The crew of the Russian warship acted professionally, performing a manoeuvre that prevented a collision with the intruder ship," the ministry's statement said.

In the footage I watched our ship was not playing games, the ship's guns were drawn ready to fire after giving the Russian ship multiple warnings. Ultimately the Russian ship backed off. The Russians were in violation of International waters rules. How you conclude that 'Putin was just playing games' with our navy our navy clearly wasn't. I am going to mark these comments off to what TDS does to people.

Not sure how you can come to that conclusion because the Trump administration has been harder on Putin than previous administrations. In the coverage of our ship their guns were ready to fire. That also shows your convoluted opinion to be just that.....convoluted.

Trump is not the US Navy nor is Trump captain of the USS Farragut DDG 99 Arleigh Burke Class Guided Missile Destroyer.

Fortunately for America and allies Trump is never on the scene.
