I'm sorry (for humanity) that you don't know what a reductio ad absurdum is, thus why it is actually a very good way of demonstrating that someone has said something quite idiotically. If you are going to accuse me of something, be specific. The idea that a U.S. warship shot down an Iranian passenger jet was either deliberate or gross negligence is hardly a conspiracy theory. If you have something else in your mind, spill it.

Possibly. it depends upon why the airline was singled out of the dozen or so in flight.

Saddam said he executed the pilot who fired two Exocets into the USS Stark killing 37 sailors and wounding/maiming 21 sailors but, like many things with Saddam, it was a lie.

Your major error is no one, not Iran, not the US, no one is saying they purposefully shot down the plane.
Do you have evidence they did it on purpose?
Did we intentionally shoot down the Iranian airliner in 88?

Ummm.....it was an accidental mistargeting but not an accidental shooting: They saw it, they aimed and fired.

Yes, we did. The caveat being we didn't know it was an airliner. We thought it was an Iranian F-14 descending to attack.

no saying they purposefully did it means that they intentionally targeted the plane...for all we know the plane got in the way of them being launched and was not even part of the target.

They did intentionally target the plane. It's not like the missile just went off by itself. The problem was the same as with the Vincennes: misidentification.

Sorry, Clara, but that's not how those missiles work.

you have yet to prove they purposefully were targeting a plane even, much less targeting a passenger airliner on purpose

Fine. You are free to believe the USS Vincennes intentionally shot down an airliner and that the Iranians did not. I disagree. I think both were simply tragedies caused by misidentification AKA "Friendly Fire". Good Luck.

Which are not all that great. Iraq in 1990 and 2003 had some of the most dense air defense networks in the world, and those did no good against the US attacks on them.

We do not have to do much to do that, their economy is already imploding. It's inflation rate is already over 35%,and even though "experts" have been claiming for over a year now it will reduce "soon", it has yet to show any sign of slowing at this time.

However, it is down from the peak of 2018 where it hit almost 400%.

And the government has been tightly controlling the information about the growing unrest they have been going through for almost a decade now.
