I have no tolerance, respect, or time for selfish entitled people who are oh so willing to send other peoples kids off to go kill other peoples kids. War is sometimes necessary, but if you're not willing to make the sacrifices yourself, don't ask them of someone else.

I am a currently serving military member in a combat MOS and have been for well over a decade with multiple trips to both Iraq and Afghanistan as are the vast majority of people I work with on a daily basis. And many of us myself included have lost friends and teammates either killed or come home with horrible wounds to the IEDs Iran supplied.

I have yet to hear a single one of them complain about the way trump killed that pos. They have all grown tired of allowing Iran to kill our brothers in arms while we do nothing about it and think it’s about time to let Iran no that crap is no longer going to be tolerated.
It’s honestly one of the very very few things that trump has done that I approve of.

That wasnt due to a single General who was easily replaced, already has been to make it more dangerous and to put more Soldiers and Marines in even more danger. That isnt even justice. It was revenge and a political play.

No but he was the man in charge of that operation. And allowing Iran to kill Americans with zero repercussions has done nothing to deter them. As proven by the recent attacks.

I am sure if they had sunk a couple destroyers you would be fine with us doing nothing and just pretending like it wasn’t Iran.


Telling another nation they can kill your citizens and we won’t respond due to fear has never need a good idea.

They never actually said that though. Most of stuff although most likely accurate we have is not from either the general or iran saying straight out that they would kill or were killing US soldiers. It came from Intel we gathered, which we are assuming is accurate. It is very different than other terrorists and should be handled accordingly.

Would it be okay for Iran or Pakistan or Syria to target one of our generals without expecting retaliation because they claim he/we are terrorists? The international community may view that as fine. Hell what if they simply labeled Trump as a terrorist and took him out? Would the international community view it as them assassinating our country's leader or killing a terrorist with just cause?

It is very important to be aware of how to handle an enemy and the repercussions that will come with it. Just because someone is bad, doesn't mean the way to deal with them is striking them dead 1st chance you get. Leaders in N. Korea should have been taken down decades ago if that were the case. Iran too. Both have been a threat for decades. But sensible leaders realize that there are worse things than letting such people live and hold power. It isnt right but it is better when it comes to keeping balance and preventing unnecessary loss of lives.
