West Virginia governor approves firing of all employees involved in apparent Nazi salute photo | Fox News

"After the photo was made public, two training instructors and one cadet were fired, while 34 other employees, including the trainees in the photo, were suspended without pay. Now, at the*recommendation*of Sandy, Justice has approved all trainees who participated in the Nazi-like salute be fired."

These are Americans. More than that, they're law enforcement officers. The Nazi salute alone disqualifies them from holding their jobs, but the sheer stupidity of doing what they did in an official photograph makes them undeserving of almost any job.

Why is too bad? Where was that picture taken and when was it taken? Who are those people? You know that's not a Nazi salute, right? If you don't know, I'm telling you.

Who could be that stupid? How can they be that stupid? Surely they're not all Nazis? Dude in the top left of the photo is clearly black...so, a really, really bad joke? That...everyone...apparently was too stupid to not participate?

I had a feeling someone like you would say something that stupid. The governor of WV is a Republican or as you vomited foolishly, a "Democratic Nazi". The cadets weren't raising their hands. They were offering the Nazi salute. Maybe go spew your nonsensical Democrat bashing somewhere near a toilet where it belongs.

Yes, bizarre, but that's the country we live in. I hope they all do get fired. Many or all of them are suspended without pay anyway, so maybe they've had time to update their resumes, change their names, and schedule facial reconstruction.

We're apparently dealing with people who aren't even as smart as the morons who play the circle game on camera. And they wanted to be corrections officers. In a weird way, WV will dodge a bullet when it fires these more than 3 dozen Nazi wannabes.

Of course not. The original black power controversy at the 1968 Olympics was a silent protest against racial injustice. But leave it to our fellow posters in this thread to equate it to a Nazi salute.

The one instructor was doing it all semester long, and several of the people supposedly went along with it because they were afraid of retaliation from her.

Well, to be fair, our "corrections" facilities, while not Nazi death camps, are hardly bastions of human rights. A social issue that has been neglected for far too long.

I remember thinking at the time of Abu Ghraib, where Iraqi prisoners of war were tortured by US troops, that several of the guilty National Guardsmen, were prison/correction officers/guards back home, yet they'd had no problem with the events that took place.
